People do not understand Nano. Its a car for a family of 3 or 4 who own a scooter. The more luxury - the more the price. Because it is Indian you find faults... had it been an imported one then you would say WOW . Strange. First we should look positive and stop critisizing which is easy to do./ Hats off to Nano..and thanks to the Tata's for giving a common man a car.. Koonda
Definitely Ratan Tata bribed for the NANO an Award. NANO is one of the worst car in the world. If TATA gifts me 2 lacs to own a NANO, I will not do so. World is in many way captured by the corrupt SCAMs like TATA.

This is the biggest problems with we Indians, we dont read the details and just read the headlines and come with the judgement. Since beginning, this has been mentioned that the car factory proce is 1 lakh an any accessories, insurance and all, will be separate cost.
Girish Wagh had been heading the Design team & is credited with the idea of rear-engine for Nano. Its one of the main reasons why Nano can be so tiny inspite of being so spacious Its ratio of LengthxWidthxHeight to Interior space by volume is also the best in the world.
Also, the award comes from the most respected institution in Product Design
I bet the next year this award is going to Bangalore based Notion Ink's Adam tablet computer.

Extremely contradictory reports from rediff. In this one, you say that ' Retail sales have substantially increased in the first five states of open sales'. Just few days ago, you reported a drop in sales by 80% due to fire hazards in the Nano. Makes me wonder if Tata has sponsored this news clip?
