All this 2G spectrum issue boils to two thing .You are abigger thief ,the opposition says no yo are bigger thief .Heart of heart both agree we are thieves .
So much drama and so much of news -so much expenditure nothing will come out of the charade .No one will be punished - politicians will make the bureacrats pay mildly - suspension and when public forgets the issue reinstate with full pay and allowance.
MP and MLA are paid so much all the guys in the scams their pay and everything should be stopped with immediate effect.
So is the building Adarsh it should be demolished - a few crores is nothing compared to lacks of crores - the monies involved in 2G and CWG and million others .
Yeasterdays times news - BJP bigwigs son rams and kills innocents and gets bail on super fast speed .I aleays maintained they are same . Soon it will be the public will take the law - Goa ministers son - we all know he was a rapist gotaway .I prefer public linch such Bastar*S .

You are right, Son, unfortunately.
I have lived all my years hoping India will improve at one point or another, but the point seems endless. 2 months and everything will be forgotten (and even forgiven). We have too many things: like living one day, getting a day's wages, feeding the family, put a vessel under the leaking roof... people! the internet cannot be our mode of protest as long as it cannot translate into CHANGE!
Look what happened to the "boycott taxis" or some such?? We need a revolution

Transparent inquiry-2g
by BHEEM SINGH on Dec 10, 2010 01:33 PM

dear sh kapil sibbul;
i understand your point properly, for better facts and transparency, make a raja the inquiry officer, karunanidhi the head of commettee, and mr. clean and mrs. clean as a chairman of the commettee. another commettee for inquiry into the process of inquiry made. and another commettee... and another ... another.... all roads lead to LEEPAPOTI...just keep enjoying the status of cabinet minister.... ha ha , certainly a handful of silver-coins for media will work.
i assure you, u can win next Olympic Gold medal, for scams and inquiries.
my best wishes.

so-What
by BHEEM SINGH on Dec 10, 2010 11:17 AM

why so much hue n cry. honestly JAANCH inquiry is virtually LIPAPOTI, nothing more than lipapoti.
Government, kapil, mr. he and she, must appint Shri a RAJA as inquiry incharge, for better facts known to him, and Karunanidhi must be made a chairman of committe,in supervision of shri Manmohan. and another commettiee to find out the process of inquiries, and another commettee.... and so on so forth. in some days everything will become LIPAPOTIE.
a handful of silvercoin for media may work.
my good wishes to kapil sibloo.

2G spectrum: Govt to probe allocation since 2001
by Hebbar R on Dec 10, 2010 10:00 AM

The right term for what the Govt has now done is "Witch Hunting".

The Govt is again into its dirty tricks to stall investigations. Somehow a war of letters has started between Mr. Ratan Tata and Rajiv Chandrashekar. This is now becoming a point of debate and the real issue of corruption by Raja and the colossal loss to the Exchequer is now getting put on the back burner.

Pseudo Logic
by IndianVoice on Dec 10, 2010 02:03 AM

Cong says BJP costed 70,000 crore to the nation and blaming it on BJP.But reality is they are also part of this logjam of parliament. If nation is loosing time and money then its both parties who are responsible.BJP demand is legal as per constituion which can not be downplayed by congress by saying they want to use it as political agenda. How come JPC be a political agenda for BJP?The agenda is scam itself and not the investigation. If they are so clean and honest in all transactions related with spectrum deal then why did not they accept the JPC on very first day when it had been demanded and this would not have costed the nation 70,000 crore. If they are really so pragmatic, honest and sensitive to the national time and money then they would have said a go to JPC and would not have worried so much and creating hullaboo. They are equally adamant on not letting this demand met. What is the reason? Can they explain to the nation. What could be a political advantage to BJP with JPC could they explain? Does thier government term is more important to them than the reality of scam and punishment of the culprit behind it? Are they afraid of the truth coming out in JPC? Nation and its citizens needs answer to this.So stop creating pseudo image of being clean. The nation wants JPC.Mr Sibal should speak about the truth and the reality and should refrain from creating another controversy. One man committee can not investigate and bring the truth behind scam as that one man will be manipulated.

Good idea of MMS
by NEELAKANTAN R on Dec 09, 2010 09:36 PM

MMS is a chor. He purposely appointed this man who will kill all the data. he being a lawyer by profession know how to do things. But question is when matter is with SC how he can appoint a one man commission for enquiry things from 2001. Sc has already asked CBI to do that. does this act not subjudice. Learned people enlighten me

Its basic common sense...
by Suprasanna Bhat on Dec 09, 2010 07:46 PM  | Hide replies

1. Current Market dynamics of Telecom industry is completely different from what it was in 2001. You can't have a comparison of 2001 Policy with current policy. It should evolve! (Mobile subscribers in Dec-2001 was 3.4 Million and in Dec-2008 is 346.9 Million and estimated count by end of 2009 is 450 Million!!)
2. (For argument sake) Even if the previous govt in 2001 had drafted a wrong policy, Dayanidhi Maran of UPA1 or Raja of UPA2 could have fixed or corrected the policy. So investigate even Maran's role.
3. How can Raja give such lame excuse saying he was just following the footsteps of previous Govt., is this what UPA doing for last 8 or 9 years of rule after BJP's exit...??

Re: Its basic common sense...

contd...just take a simple revenue calculation...consider that each subscriber would spend an min. average of Rs.100 per month (Pessimistic minimum assumption)...then 450 Million (or 45 Crores) * 100 = Rs.4500 Crores (or Rs. 45 Billion) per MONTH i.e. Rs.54000 Crores (Rs. 540 Billion) per ANNUM for the entire Telecom Industry.
Consider 10% (Pessimistic?) of the revenue as PROFIT...then it is Rs. 540 Crores (5.4 Billion) Profit in 2009.

Per ANNUM
Year - Subscribers - Revenue - Profit (~10% of Revenue)
2009 - 450 Million - Rs.54000 Crores - Rs.540 Crores
2001 - 3.4 Million - Rs.408 Crores - Rs.40.8 Crores

This silly calculation does not consider the inflation adjusted value, the investment made by the industry. In any case, the credibility of 2009 calculation is more compared to 2001 Calculation...which means, the 2001 Profit could be NEGATIVE (for the huge initial investment in Infrastructure, the revenue generated will be insufficient to sustain).
No industry can survive without perks and tax holidays during its initial days...!!

Rightly said. The UPA has changed so many Laws where it was suitable and vote getting for themselves. Important laws to contain terrorism have been changed/totally dropped. But, only Telecom issue is being followed. If now the Congress says that the BJP was also involved in the past, why did the Congress not change policy when they took over power? Why did they not prosecute the BJP Minister involved then? Why are they talking about it only now?
