Airtel has pottential to become the biggestest employer in India
by Venkatesh Sekhar on Dec 11, 2010 08:31 PM  | Hide replies

Airtel conducts special training to all their customer service staff and field staff in such a way they speak very well to lure customers to apply for connection and make payment. Once payment is made they will not keep their promise. YOu have to call them 100 times to fight for your rights. Then customer would get angry and forego the payment they have made as they would be forced to spend more of their hard earned money in calls to recover bad debts from a well trained customer service staff.

So Airtel makes lots of money in this process in the form of initial money that the customer pays and then in the form of calls they make to get their work done and then if its not done then to collect their money.

Since they have fine tuned this technique very well they can afford to pay decent salary to their staff and recruit as many people as they wish.

I am not writing anything from my what I heard from others, I am writing my experience of last 4 / 5 days I am facing with airtel.

I paid 1000 Rs towards new connection of DTH connection, and I am chasing these guys for the past 4 days by making 100s of calls to get the installation. Few emails sent for which just automated reply came.

I feel its good time to buy Airtel shares as there is very very good potential for that company to make money.

You are right Mr.Sekhar. Same is the experience. We have a Reliance Landline phone for which a bill of Rs.230.00 was payable. By mistake my subordinate paid Rs.5,000.00. and Reliance Infocom is refusing the refund of excess amount paid and saying that it will be adjusted in future bills. Our monthly bill is only about Rs.250.00. Please imagine how long I have to wait to get the amount adjusted. It is a fundamental principle/law that money paid under mistake is always recoverable. The Reliance representative/service assurance cell do not understand this. They are legally bound to return the money as per Contract Act 1872. In think, now we have to approach the court to settle the issue which is very sad. This is how telecom companies loot public.

I am not surprised... Reliance Telecom is big chor company.

I once paid by credit card via IVR, but though amount got deducted from credit card, reliance claimed i had not paid.

Even after telling them Transaction Id, they kept sending me from one department to another.

Finally i had to personally visit their District Level Office 3 times to resolve the matter.

Useless thugs.
