Nano as Bullets for Indian Army
by Pankaj Advani on Dec 02, 2010 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

If tata produces 100000 Nanos and sells 500 a month the remaining can be used as bullets in a giant gun by filling them up with gun powder

More practical use can be to brand Nano as Auto-Rickshaw and sell them. It will make a nice rickshaw

all the cars from the japaneese stable when introduced in USA around 50s and 60s were treated with contempt and there were few takers. but they gradually picked up the best manufacturing and zero defect practices and now rule the auto market with German mfrs.
let us not deride our own brands. we will come up and will be rewarded soon. making a good automobile is not that much difficult nowdays.

around the independence there were no Indian made cars, even the simple electric fans, refregerators, pencils, pens, heavy vehicles, road rollers, rail engines, most of the medicines, paints, even paint brushes, radios were imported. most of the products at the start did not meet the spec. of US and European standards. but we plodded on with our industries and now we make most of our reqt. locally. no child is born as full fledged adult.

Interesting insight.Nano should be used during times of war by putting dummy soldiers in them.It will fool the attacking army by emptying their ammo and then indian army can attack.

Tax is the main culprit..
by Michael Angelo on Dec 02, 2010 03:03 PM  | Hide replies

Taxes are the reason why automobiles are so costly in India. Reduce taxes and automobiles will become affordable. Nano is not safe, dont risk your life.

Production Constraints.
by Batao Na on Dec 02, 2010 03:01 PM  | Hide replies

Production is being moved from Pantnagar to Gujrat so no new dispatches to dealer.

Pantnagar plant was for Tata Ace and Nano was affecting it for past 1 year.
Sensationalist headline.

o man now u rellay want to debate on that than here are some facts TATA'S have been consisitently ranked as the highest value corporates in country they are constantly trying to bring technology under reach of the masses NANO is a shining example...indicom might be a an exception but compare to thiefs like reliance they are way ahead and by the way i stay in bombay and here MTNL Broadband is best no denying but u cannot fault TATA in their kind efforts for improvement of mankind...atleast try to respect that spirit...cheers
