It is good move by TRAI but I don't think the phone users get benefit as the telemarketers have the technology to hide their identity by using 00000000 instead of their real phone number.
Most calls we throughout the day are from unregistered telemarketers - who care a damn for NDNC or any such thing. What about them? They should be jailed in case you file a complaint!

The legislation is good only to the extent of hefty penalties... However, the penalties are recovered by the Telecom company. It should ideally be passed on to the subscriber since he is the one bearing the brunt of such calls. Else, what is the incentive to the subscriber to report such calls ?
