Why "shameless India" when you could say "shameless Kalmadi"? Don't bracket India with it!

CWG 2010
by biswanath roy on Aug 31, 2010 11:33 AM

the above article mentions that spectators from all over the world will be coming to delhi to view this sports extravaganza. out of the 71 teams participating in the CWG 2010, many are not countries but a part of a country like scotland, northern ireland,& wales being a part of great britain. similar more examples are there in this list of participating countries. there are 35 teams (nay countries) such as vanuata, niue, anguilla, tuvalu, montserrat, solomon islands, isles of mann, tokelau, kiribati etc whose names no one knows, and you need a magnifying glass & need to refer to the index of the world atlas to locate them. does mr shubhasis mean tourists/spectators from these named countries & many similar ones will come to watch & cheer their respective sides during the CWG 2010? if he thinks that he is living in his dream world. beijing 2008 olympics expected one million spectators to attend the games, & the final figure given by the chinese olympic committee was just above six lakhs. beijing was hosting the world olympics, if CWG 2010 gets even one lakh spectators it should count itself lucky. all these scam/corruption stories, poor infrastructure, state of the stadia, dengue outbreak flashes will act as a deterrent for tourists to come @ this time.

I strognly Agree with the last comments..........
by Shital Shah on Aug 31, 2010 11:32 AM

I agree that fines should be at a minimum of Rs 2000 for ever and in all big cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkota, Hyd, Bangalore etc etc. If this is done then maybe even the bribe to the Paandu will be at least Rs 1000. If you give this every alternate week then it will start pinching. Perhaps we can even link a higher fine say Rs 5000/- for cars costing more then 20 lakhs? But this is like living in a fools paradise?

But if this is done then see the see change in our traffic bahaviour!!!!!!

After getting my tax this government says I should not use this part of road that part of road. Why they have not thought about this for an ambulance service vehicle that was piled up in traffic, only during common wealth games there common sense works?

This is no solution. What was to be done much earlier is now scaring. No body is trying to go in depth for basic problems. They are simple are only already exists in the guidlines. Only we are ignorant.

Whom we entrust responsibility of punishing, themselves will make money in turn. Don could take out his mother safely from India to pakistan from amidst full vigilance. In an interview, later on, when asked about it, he said, in India any thing is possible as everyone can be lured by throwing money.
