U r correct. Especially the top levels they really, they fan a minute spark and make it a big fire. If it is a lady many of them are as u say. But those who are not like that get affected as most of the lady HRs are like u say. In BIG CORPORATES this is a VERY COMMON FEATURE.

HR Lessons thru Theatre.
by Suresh Potdar on Aug 14, 2010 08:08 AM  | Hide replies

Good idea.

As an HR professional ( with 40 years in the corporate world and having passed thru various functions ) in India, I observe that our people are very rigid, carry too many prejudices and learn from sources other than authentic teachings. They resist change when prompted to change and behave obstinate. This is not true for the entire lot but perhaps true for 60 % population.

The surrounding atmosphere to young and old people as well is that of lack of integrity, poor level of character, low level of respect for seniors, general dishonesty and poor reliability.

From such an atmosphere how can you expect our people to be good handlers of human resource ? To this added is the poor effect or gory Hindi movies who show pervered characetrs as succsessful people ?

The scene of HR ( with ministers like Arjun Singh as HR Minister !!!)in India leaves a lot to be done and expected.

God bless us and we get real, genuine and committed HR people who can remain above board.

All what you say is happening. The main cause is not only the HR people but also the TOP OFFICIALS who are just womenisers.

HR mantras
by Janu Karbi on Aug 13, 2010 03:30 PM

The story of tevaniam belies the propensity of laburnum to juggle the finicky tempora. Perchance the bravado flies in the face of severe pastiche ? True, it must be deemed fit that noxious livery drapes itself over the expansive panorama of ribald revelry. Nevertheless, It behooves ourselves to don alacrity in matters of jejune cretina. It will only serve mightily to advance the demarche of frivolous iridescence over lampoons of the rescidivist warbles. Never to be left behind, votaries of peripatetic gambols suffuse the atmosphere with lingering palaver. Besides, clavicles hibernating in ponderous serendipity might emerge like a phoenix to assert the pre-eminence of travesty. It is in this situation that I would like to ask why we are doing this to ourselves ?
