I think this is the beginning of the great IT industry dawn in India which has created so much of discrimination in the entire world. India always have an reputation of knowledge based industry. It's contribution towards research and development was enormous. But because of this bloody idiot IT, India lost many things internally. 1) The society got divided into people working in IT and non-IT industry. As a result social relationship get effected. Family rift has increased leading to more divorce cases. In-fact if you see in any major cities especially like bangalore the couples working in IT industry, almost 50% are either divorced or having extra-marital relationship. 2)Social ethics have completely changed. Woman started behaving live prostitutes even after getting married. They were not satisfied with one husband. Unfortunately such woman were being encouraged and portrayed in the society. 3)Work discrimination. This has clearly affected the entire nation. Because of IT high paid coolies(I like to say coolies,because there is no creativity)Other industries could not come up because they were unable to match these IT salary scale.
I think for the nation it is good. But if IT industry start dooming one big consequency we all have to face i.e., mass sucides. IT people after losing job,they don't have guts to live in difficult situation either starting to make suicides, or woman start becoming prostitutes which will be encouraged by their husbands.
The major problem which indian IT industry is facing is
1) No R & D. Most of these companies are very much dependent on out-sourcing by US. In US there is a tax excemption for R & D. The company will off-shore the R & D project simply because of low cost and tax benefit. This is purely mis-interpretation of govt. policies. Obama govt. is cutting this policy. As a result it will have severe effect on indian IT industry. 2) For so many years there was no R & D. Intel started it's R & D set up. but when comes to IC's manufacturing, is went to china. China themselves came out with AMD brand. The policies and economics are much superior than India. 3) The main reason for major IT companies to start in india is Land-scam. Most of these companies were started as SEZ's and got tax benefit from govt. They will run the show for some years. After then even the operation is closed they will enjoy the precious land and convert to other business. This is being clearly seen by indian companies like Infosys,Wipro Infotech & Tech Mahindra. Now, there will be a full-stop for these not from Indian govt. but by US itself. Obama is making a long term policy by which it is possible for him to eliminate the outsourcing business completely to India. China somehow will bargain and deal the business because of their strong govt.
Social ethics and social values are completely lost because of IT industry. Today all social evils are happening because of this industry. The following are the contributions to indian culture by this industry. 1)Cost of index have increased.common people are finding difficult to lead a life. 2)Social relationship amoung family has completely spoiled. If you go to any major city family court(I am not bluffing, before somebody barking here just go and collect the data and then comment, simply because you are working in this field try to defend yourself, understand)the no. of divorce cases have increased. 70% of this divorce cases are those working in IT industry(only major metro's like Bangalore,Gurgaon,Chennai,Mysore,Pune). 3)Extra marital affairs particularly amoung woman working in this area has increased. As a result there is a rift in family relationship. 4)Children from this couples are not growing normally like others. 5)All unethical things have become common like,Wife exchange in the name of social party,increase in prostitution of woman who lost job in this industry because of recession(This will increase further as there is going to have one million job cuts in next 6 months, please don't bark, wait and watch for next 6 month and then comment). 6)Suicides cases / murder case(recent from one of the reputed company, I think you all know it)has increased. See, my question is why this is happening in only IT's and its related industry only.
