shaheen khan
regarding the two-wheeler scene
by shaheen khan on Aug 09, 2010 12:44 AM

i wonder why aamir khan and mahadevan are shown driving the two-wheeler on janpath without a helmet on janpath. i know its a movie so rules where relaxed during the shooting of these scenes but i am talking about logic. logically the characters should have been shown wearing a helmet when driving on streets of delhi where helmet is compulsory.

In the movie the word "idiot" was more like a metaphor, to symbolize the non-conformal nature of its protagonists. But in your case the word truly and literally applies, hence you are the bigest idiot.

hello everyone
i saw this movie a few days back. It was a very ordinary movie. Totally undeserving of the media attention and success it got. According to me Raju Hirani's first film Munna Bhai MBBS was a much better film than 3 idiots.
Secondly, Vidhu Vinod Chopra had made cinema like parinda once upon a time. What is wrong with him?
Lastly Amir Khan, although a good actor, should have thoght 10 times before playing the role of an 18 year old boy. I meanwhat is wrong with these guys? Is this Cinema?
It was an ordinary brain bereft film fro the brain bereft and tasteless masses of India.
Now please feel free to abuse me in choices t possible expletives.

Why should I be jealous or Raju Hirani? I am nobody compared to him. I am just a viewer with my own views.

You dolt, movies do have that license of fantasy/imagination. Do you think movies should depict only ordinary, mundane events? Then why go and waste time and money? If this movie was incredulous and unrealisic, so was Munnabhai. You ought to get your head examined asap!!

For me the movie was a throwback to my days at IIT in some sense. Many concepts like true friendship and believing in yourself were reinforced.

I agree with you. This is an ordinary film BUT the concept was good, but the presentation was Flawed. Some of the scenes were outrageous, For eg: during the child birth scene, the whole city is under water, BUT this guy has Internet connection (and Broadband to transmit video). How outrageous is that. The presentation is flawed; Im disappointed, but not surprised at the enormous response the film has received!! We Indians are a crazy lot; we go with the herd; We dont stop and think for ourselves.!!

get the facts right!
by emissary xyz on Aug 06, 2010 02:09 PM  | Hide replies

Oh really it was a pure marketing effort...India has seen better movies in past (even last 3-4 years)...this movie did exceedingly well because it was a reasonably good/ok movie, if not extra-ordinary and it also had a ready audience in terms of readers of Chetan Bhagat's book, which is not a small audience. 5 point someone, his first book is what made Chetan Bhagat a household name, and thats not an opinion, but a hard ground fact!
If the marketing tactics are so good, why haven't they replicated it in other movies?
Some people live in their own happy small world, blissfully ignorant of ground realities. People like you would even claim that success of Harry potter movies have nothing to do with the JK Rowling's books!
And where are the editors of Rediff! Its ok for a company to claim all good and give numbers, but where is your 'editing' skills for an unbiased/objective report?
