Nothing is there.Where is space for flats, ventilation, other facilities but they are priced equivalent to European,US levels.First tell me what is the salary hikes and job levels here.Real estate and the Indian economy may take decades to recover once it falls.

Mining growth is a BAD GROWTH..

We might be building sand castles that have already crashed 90% of Indian economy for the sake of 10% and their "look good" statisticians.

More landless labouR in big cities, THANKS TO..

Rajni Bakshi has Agri mindset as well - "Land abandoned by mining projects .. agricultural land .."

First, you cannot convert/poach all the forest life/land/livelihood to agriculture & urban/industrial lands, it has environmental implications such as flooding and drought (also the loss of under-ground water). Look at Bihar/UP/etc floods.

On top of all the above, this is HOW THE TRAP IS DONE, first they convert forest to
"
agriculture and the rural sector
"
then, they urbanize, industrialize and mine those lands by luring/acquiring from farmers.

JUST begin the process of reclaiming lost lands to forest and making tribals learn again about forest livelihood from un-poached fellow tribals.

Environment tax collected by various means should fund forces that protect tribals and for tribal health (and population maintenance), there should not be be a single iota of poachers or idealogist money...

Enviroment tax should be there on urban, industrial and rural areas for the FRESH air we have on our lands from forest.

Forest prevent the cycle of floods/draught as well. This tax to plant more tress, fund forces to protect the tribals from poachers (commercial/non-commercial)and external idealogist(moaist/naxals/missionaries/jihadis/NGOs/etc) recruitments/influences.

Many Jhamshedpurs (once Tribal forest) and dhanbads will make many flood and drough

we should agree as Tribals do on reforestation to get our nation back,
such process will bring our draught lands into forest, bring flood lands to forest, mine lands into forest,
poached/un-poached villages/urban/missionary/madarsa/NGO/government lands into forest where Tribal lived/danced
happily.

Once tribals who became urban and agriculural labour/owners learn to be tribals again of forest that we lost and we become who were.
We will learn to live happy without modernization, technology, equipments and be happy again.

Forest can give us wild vegetables, bunch of wild & sweet potato, beans, fruits and so much more..
That is very sufficient for us tribals to survive. We dont need crops, big markets, traders and machines and extorionist and money supply banks and all that urban/rural setup that "development pill" promises or provides.

We dont need schools, trucks, cars, fridge, currency/cash(for/from extortionist/lurers), etc. The less, the better.

We just want Government(beaurocracy/politician/development pills), poachers(industrialist/miners/etc) and idealogist( maoist/naxals/missionaries/jihadis/NGOs/etc) to be out of our Tribal lands of today and reclaimed ones.

Enviroment fraction tax can give sufficient funds to security forces (seated outside our lands) to protect us from poachers, idealogist and government.

At the same time provide emergency health services from "outside camps". Health se

Oil !
by Pavan C. Joshi on Apr 17, 2010 06:49 PM

# 1 import is Oil.

Rest is all local made ... I went to
google Maps and zoomed on Pune ... Bangalore, Nashik, Bombay ... all are sorrounded by huge industrial complexes clearly labeled ... re: Pune ... HUGE Tata plant on 1 side, Huge Bajaj on another side plus VW, GM, JCB ... 100's small suppliers ... Bharat Forge (... hehe .. not so small), Bosch ... it's same story everhwhere ... but specially south ... try it ... Google Maps.

India hardly imports jack sh*t ... many here are befooled by foreign marketing ... brands, labels, names ... time-time ki baat hai ... desi brands will come ...

As more oil ... & GAS ... feeds energy needs, nuke power, clean coal, batteries, solar, wind etc. come in ... import of energy will come down ...

I don't understand y all the bitc*ing is about ... Rediff bloggers r a breed apart ... wah!

these figures have calculated on the basis of total industry. Calculate the growth index on the basis of small scale and big scale industry seperatly and after that you will find about the actual growth of industry. Then Ananlyse what is the growth rate of small scale and large scale. large units are growing day by day and small units are growing very less.

India is capable to achieve more then 10% of GDP growth because if in recession India can grow 7% GDP then in booming time can reach 10% easily.Indian economy was grown rapidly close to 8% GDP in 2009.
Whole world economy having a roller coaster ride in negative growth India is still growing as 2nd fastest Economy.
