nip the bud
by vijay saxena on Apr 14, 2010 08:31 AM

a wake up call but to late. the problem could have been nipped at the bud but now it is very difficult to cut the tree. there are other problems like intrusion of china in our territory, global warming, corruption in judiciary and military, invasion of terrorists in politics, military and police, rule of omar abdulla(j&K), links of ex-chief minister koda, garland theory of mayawati, unsolved cases of CBI(Arushi-hemraj). the list is big and a lot of hard work is required from these politicians. well they have plenty of time in watching IPL or becoming owners indirectly.

Put some real thought & apply your mind
by JR on Apr 12, 2010 10:57 PM

Dear Rajni Bakshiji, Put some real thought & apply your mind before writing such brainless articles. As I can see except the last point of "Social security" everything else that you have said is not implementable. From your article I can also make out that you have never visited a country side leave alone tribals of bastar & Orissa. It is the mis-information campaign by comie sympathisers like you which is hurting the country rather than anything else.

The real problem is lack of education among tribals & poor road & power connectivity to tribals. If these basic needs are met, tribals are good enough to make a healthy & environment friendly living of their own.

Rajni, I challenge you brainless comies like you to win this battle against the Indian state because I know tribals are much more patriotic than you comies.

More landless labouR in big cities, THANKS TO..

Rajni Bakshi has Agri mindset as well - "Land abandoned by mining projects .. agricultural land .."

First, you cannot convert/poach all the forest life/land/livelihood to agriculture & urban/industrial lands, it has environmental implications such as flooding and drought (also the loss of under-ground water). Look at Bihar/UP/etc floods.

On top of all the above, this is HOW THE TRAP IS DONE, first they convert forest to
"
agriculture and the rural sector
"
then, they urbanize, industrialize and mine those lands by luring/acquiring from farmers.

JUST begin the process of reclaiming lost lands to forest and making tribals learn again about forest livelihood from un-poached fellow tribals.

Environment tax collected by various means should fund forces that protect tribals and for tribal health (and population maintenance), there should not be be a single iota of poachers or idealogist money...

Enviroment tax should be there on urban, industrial and rural areas for the FRESH air we have on our lands from forest.

Forest prevent the cycle of floods/draught as well. This tax to plant more tress, fund forces to protect the tribals from poachers (commercial/non-commercial)and external idealogist(moaist/naxals/missionaries/jihadis/NGOs/etc) recruitments/influences.

Many Jhamshedpurs (once Tribal forest) and dhanbads will make many flood and drought lands in the state

A market for Maoism
by Gopi Menon on Apr 12, 2010 10:23 PM

That there is a "Market" for "Maoism" is evident by what is going on in these forest lands. If a better ideology providing much better "values" to the "customers" (ie tribals) is the only option to reduce the Menace of this heartless Naxalism by the tribals who are driven to a corner by a set of equally heartless government policies.

PLAN PANEL PLAN
by john dsouza on Apr 12, 2010 07:26 PM

Thanks for reminding us that all this is because of the non-implementation of a perfectly sensible plan.
I am sure that more Adivasis will come to this side if we implement this plan, or really try to, rather that launch green hunt or set the Salva hounds loose! Today on Barkha dutt's show one person actually supported the government's strategy of using militia.. Did we not see what happened in Punjab?
Why are the adivasis fleeing to other states, rather than go to the camps? They don't trust the government..
What are we going to do about this? The maoist will be a thing of the past if we just do our bit..

Naxalism was born to fight against cultural, social & economic injustices.
And now they're fighting to protect their commercial interests.

How to solve the probelm of human right activists ?
by manoj on Apr 12, 2010 04:28 PM

The best way to finish off the compalaints of human right activists is : to hand over the goverment to Naxals (Maoist).
Maoists are basically allergic to any possibility of a
The first thing Naxals will do is to eliminate all human right activists. This is what Chinese (Maoist) communist party did.
