FOr 1200 points you will get 200rs gift plus they will deduct 100rs tax for shipping and handling hence you will get 87rs back for 1200 points earned. For these 1200 points you need to spend 1,20,000rs.
Seems like Paid advertisement by HSBC well the credit card is good & service given is very professional. i used it for a brief period. ICICI bank transfers reward points to Third Party administrator & hence its not lucrative. since a huge amt pf points are required to collect non-worthy gift/articles.
I had around 800 points in my account & one day I saw that these points turned to ZERO...so I called up the customer care & the explanation I got from them about this is > Due to an EMI option I had opted to purchase an article worth 20K, all the previously collected points have been done to ZEROooo... Such a horrible reason...
The loss due to even one time default or delaayed payment far exceeds the benefits of these minor rewards. And most of these rewards have fine prints so not quite straight forward as projected. Anyways credit card encourages compulsive spending so the reward of not using a credit cared will be better savings than any of the reward points provide. Also in most common places they provide more discount on cash bills. Credit card is for convenience and emergency. So if you dont want to carry the cash but want to buy and are sure that you can pay the bill 100% before due date then use it. Else only exception will be medical emergencies where one may have to use it.
This is juvenile article. Reward points offered by credit card companies are a big lie. What you end up getting is just 25 paise per every 100 rupees spend on card! For every Rs. 200 you get one point. But when you want to use it, the CC company offers you only half of its worth: 1000 reward points getting Rs. 500 worth stuff.

i guess one should always go for the cash back credit cards only. Save money while you shop and that's the best
wat was the use for such an article. everybody knows this. before reading i thought this wud be something technical. but this is rubbish. y shud u publish these things here.
