Only, we the people can save this country from these thugs called politicians. Where are the visionaries like sonia, rahul and mannu, not a squeak from them on this issue. Are they all in league to destroy the IITs ?

Very true. India should not be called as 'no place of intellectuals' Earlier system was very good and people at IIT are very professional and ethical. No political intervention is required there. Let politicians decide their own salary, do not peek into IITS/IIMS/AIIMS

It is a crying shame that our politicians under the influence of jokers called IAS babus never ever have created a first class or world class departments / organisations of thier own. These IAS babus are the same students who failed to qualify in any CAT or other tests after 12th grade. They suffer from deep rooted complexs and are not able to stomach any one or any other service or profession going ahead of them in pay or prestige. They exploit their nearness to the politicians and create all trouble. Look at any advanced nation you will see the teachers are the best honoured and paid. These scums of country are now out to destroy IITs.

Time for a reality check! Go to any IIT Hostel and see howmany of their post graduate students are craving to get into IAS. Many try and fail. The success rate for IAS is 100 selections out of 300,000 aspirants,i.e. 1:3000 !! What is this ratio for IITs and IIMs? Every tenth aspirant makes it to IIT or IIM. Each year atleast 8,000 aspirants make it to IIT and IIM and the seats are ever increasing , diluting thus the quality. In contrast, the nymber of IAS oficers recruited each year is on an average only about 100.
