First of all, the criteria for rating 'safety' is not spelt out in this article. I think that is the secret of this story. Secondly, it also mentions ratings are done based on the data of various rating agencies like Moody's, S&P, Fitch, etc - the creditability of them are also under question, esp in the wake of US banking system collapse - where some of biggies collapsed while their S&P, Moody ratings were still good. Hence, the story means nothing to the world. Also, for many in Europe, there is no world outside EU (not even full Europe)& US. Many of them, are even ignorant of the world outside their immediate neighbourhood. Hence, this rating is a sham, to say the least. Also, I had wasted my time reading it and writing abt it and your time for reading my msg too.

absolutely right. these kinds of information should be ignored totally. only thing we need to remember is the west has mastered the art of marketing, even when there is no product & we continue falling for the charade. regards srini
it is true that we are not at par with these banks as our attitude come sin the way ...most of d bank people work on one policy"kaam karenge ya nahi karenge,pagar utni hi milne walee hai"..kaam se nikala toh union hai bawal machane ke liye...nahi toh strike hai...come to boi at c,p tank branch and u'll c what iam talking

if there is theft in locker no indian bank gona provide you any compensation.. there are simply kamchor and chor people except few people. need new young blood and more staff to competete

the safest indian bank is Global trust bank....in which all indian pulic has got trust....lol.
these rating are useless by the way the nutshell conclusion is that we are regarded one of the third grade people in the world.so in all matters we remain behind from other countries,strange but true---------
