Many Mus1ims work in Banks, Share broking & Finance companies! Are they in violation of their faith for doing so? Or is any Mus1im who takes a loan from a bank or a housing loan or having a savings acount committing a sin?? I just want to know!!

Working in banks & finance co is not valid for Muslims. They are doing sin and they will be punished in the hereafter(life after death).taking loans on interest is not valid whether it is for housing or something else.having Saving account is permissible for many purposes like salary, transaction or ITR.but interest must be removed from the account and given to poor people. The purpose of interest free society is to motivate the people to extend the support to needy.

Boss dont twist ur own systems for ur convenience! Refer to my older posts on this topic. Islamic banking denotes a SYSTEM of banking and not the religion. It just follows a system by which Interest is not charged, instead a share of profit is taken. The point I asked about is more fundamental. For example is a Mus1im bnk manager who sanctions a loan on interest in violation of his faith or a Mus1im Loan recovery oficer who repossessed a deaulter's home or property committing a sin?? aybe the Deobnd clerics can issue a fatwa on the same

good qn.. yes, many Muslims work in banks and it is Haraam (prohibited).. why ? becuase the transactions involved are all interest based and interest is a major major sin in Islam.
it may be justified that for Muslims living in a predominantly Non Muslim country, it is not completely avoidable to stay away from all forms of interest, but working in banks and related activities are highly discouraged.

Being in a islamic country giving and taking loans on interest is not permitted under islamic law. But if you are in a country where islamic law is not followed an individual might avoid taking loans on interest.....again it is meant for protecting a person falling pray to greed and in turn to the degeneration of a society which will give birth to scandals, global downturn, job losses. It is proved time and again that our financial system can wreak havoc and can take many unsuspecting casualities with it in the form of peoples assests...why not islamic banking?

today, does it pain you too much on your new cut nunnni that you are unable to wear any chhadi??
Islamic Banking is not just 'Muslim' Banking, it is a system. There are around 200 Islamic Banks operational worldwide and they are by large more successful than interest based banks. Many of those banks are run by Non Muslims who have 'interest free wings' in their banks.
This system of banking primarily operates on Profit - Loss sharing and will liberate the lives of millions of poor people in our country who suffer and even commit suicides due to piling interests.
It is also ignorant and nonsensical just to be prejudices because it has the word 'Islamic'. I would rather eliminate the religious colour and see the system that will come into place. If you are smart, you will not comment in the negative before knowing about the system.

Well said and very nicely explained. Why give this a communal colour? Islamic banking arms of global giants like Citibank, HSBC, Stanchart, etc have been operating for many years in the Gulf and other muslim majority countries. What is the harm?? Moreover u must know that people like Muhammad Ali of Glfar and Yusuf Ali of Lulu employ over 55,000 Indians of all religions in their companies. With such people on the Board and the stake of the KSIDC, the system has checks & balances. If anybody does not want to bank with Islamic banks, there are other banks for people to turn to. All banks are controlled by the RBI and the monetary systemin India is quite secure.
