My God, considering an exchange rate of Rs 46/ USD, it works out to 4.23 lacs/ square foot! Now who can afford this?? Must be Chinese Underworld or the Japanese Yakuza.
How does the price of an apartment increase when there is an economic slow down ? Do people print their own money in Hong Kong ? Otherwise one finds it hard to understand this kind of stuff. Even restaurant business was reduced to half during the period.
Where do you collect this kind of junk ?
Secondly 26% increase is not throughout the year. This spike, if you guys care to analyze the numbers happened in the last few weeks (unless you guys at rediff goofed up as usual and picked 2006 data ) . The article sounds like there is a steady increase in price which is far from the fact.
It's like some piece of yellow journalism picked up from some local daily and spiced it up. No checks and balances. This is how credibility is lost.
