Amazing coordination
by Kabadan Y on Nov 24, 2009 09:05 PM

I am always surprised with the way Congress PM gets the attention in the media vs a non-congress PM. The coordination and reporting is fully loaded with positives, making sure that right noises are made.Amazing!

South has seen multiple PMs and Presidents from South. Most of the new technology investments go to South (Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, the IT capitals of India). North has got BIMARU (Bihar, MP, Rajasthan and UP) which has sent lots of politicians but still are backward. I wonder how come Jacob you are still crying about South being DISCRIMINATED against?

that's the greatness of American enterprise. they invest even in recession - in areas where there is growth and potential for returns ... they dont stop investing

Investing in India would mean cost cutting for US - something that is high on their agenda during recession

As for consumers, people in US are still buying a lot of high ticket items ... just the tone has moved to cautious spending

@ Shailendra

Mate hope your fiction remains fiction. As far as US economy is concerned, yes they are reeling through recession but you need to understand that they are not able to afford costs in US not in other countries. Even though the USD has lost its sheen its still at a good 46 INR.
So companies would love to invest in countries like India.
As far as the topic in question is concerned, I believe after reading the transcription of MMS, he should have been more charming and innovative in appealing the US companies to invest in India.
You can make out that he was merely reading the transcript than actually meaning it.
The competition is fierce to pull business from a huge investor country like US.

I gather the impression that we are now a rising star in the world. The response drawn by our P M Dr. Manmohan Singh from American Chamber of Commerce is indicative of the situation in our country. Our economy is now a rising star in the world that is leading the recovery of the world from recession. Three cheers for our Industry, Workforce and Icons of the Industry.
May GOD bless us with the best so that we are world leaders of tomorrow.
Chander Bhushan.

I am not very optimistic about plans of our prime minister. He has a lot of good designs but very weak on execution. See home, defence, external affairs, health, education. We are lacking focus and discipline in government departments. Any meaningful infastructure can only be built if govt is serious about reforms.

It is easy to preach than to practice, a true master will first practice what he preaches. Let's not criticise just for criticism sake, be must be practical, have a balanced and positive view of our leaders efforts. If they fail in their task it would be because they did not get the support and loyalty every Indian owns to India and to our democratically elected leaders, even if we belong to the opposition or some other such groups. Remember united we stand, divided we fall. Let us all unite for a great and prosperous India and its people. – Don.
