UID works in country where most of the population is literate and refined like west. India still has more than 70% tottering under poverty, illiteracy and scarcity of many other basic needs of human life. do we still think is it going to work in India?

Dear Omkara the intention of this scheme is to findout the people what you have mentioned as 70% and concentrating the development activities to that needy population .But sadly there are more practical issues and the agenda of the team is to tackle that hurdles .we should take the poverty,malnutrition as a gaint to be destroyed and not to be taken as a tool to destroy the development tools...

How can people be so negative? Please spare me your pessimism and negative thoughts. Infosys has been a benchmark for IT companies. Unique ID is going to take care of all the apprehensions that people have.
