Who are politicians - came from another planet? No they are one among us. They have power to influence Govt Policies so if ordinary guys deal in 100s and 1000s, they deal in crores. If you see they have a low shelf life. So they are making the best use of the situation.
C'mon you cross a stop line and cop comes over, immediately for 99% of the people the hand will reach the purse. Corruption is ingrained in the society.
Blaming a sect of people like politicians or businessman in the forum only demonstrates the helplessness of the guy who posts.
Giving it idiotic turn like carry a gun etc should just be dismissed as ramblings.

Boy and you look hopeless. Looks like you have resigned to your fate and accepted that this is how it is going to be. Because Indian schools and colleges churn out graduates who memorize and get degrees hardly anyone understands tax payers right or economic make up of India. Here in USA the most powerful( at least so far) country except Governor, high ranking senators rest of the senator's and assembly man have to drive their own car to work. They can not have exorbitant life style because their shelf life is short. Every 4 year tax payers are not going to pay for your short shelf life. Besides basic principle of being a elected public official is to work for the public not other way around. In 1996 when Energy secretary in clinton's admin visited she had to pay back $142 to Govt. because some items were categorized as personal expense. This is the reason why USA has best of highway, bridge, dam, libraries, recreation park etc. Because Tax Payers money is not spent on buying 18th Century Ambassador car, Whole khandan tagging along with minister in foreign trip, Where Olympic participant sports person will be 1 who is accompanied by 20 bureaucrats from sports minister and their families. Atul Neogi, Because pathetic loser chamcha's like you politician are what they are today. No wonder you drive on a pot holed road because all the tax money was spent on the comfort of MP's. What a idiotic jerk you are calling other people fool.

The concept of having a gun can be seen in the recent shoot-outs by school children. The easiest way to settle an argument is to shoot down the person who argues.

Yes, If every Indian had a gun, civilization would be simplified. if babus ask for bribe shoot first then talk to an extortionist.Shoot then think later, already crazy and wild wild west here.
MPs, being public figures, are definitly prone to keeping their image intact more nowadays than earlier. Gone are the days when people could get away with murder / rape and still "wear white" in public. The need is to expose them through the media so that the general public can take their decisions. This year's elections have definitly shone a trend that crime does not pay. Work and results show. There is a trend towards viewing constituencies like "a profit centre" so that the requisite inputs are put into them and comforts - like proper roads / street lighting / water / electricity / law and order / etc - provided. This translates into adequate support. Similarly, a CM ought to view his / her state as a profit centre wherein a proper climate for good legal business is provided, infrastructure, etc is made available. The lacune in providing these benefits should be addressed and solved using proper management techniques. Any person who is on his / her own "trip" should be exposed with their misdeeds so that they are immediately punished. Sounds simple - is very difficult, but not impossible.
