hiring for kicking
by vikash ranjan on May 14, 2009 06:45 PM  | Hide replies

ICICI pru life is hiring only to kick them out in next 1-2 months after utilizing their sources. Sources means the employee end up seling policies only to its family and relatives and that too under pressure.when the sources dried up the employee find itself out of the oganisation. This whole process takes up at most 3 months.

What kind of a job
by Aditya Venkat on May 14, 2009 03:38 PM

Hiring loads of young lads to stand around selling insurance to passers by is no job creation. We are going to be saddled with many more people approaching us while we wait in queue at the ICICI ATMs wanting for us to sign on the dotted lines. ICICI should start focusing on customer services now that they are a huge organisation. It is a very frustrating experience when one walks into an ICICI or a HDFC or AXIS bank branch..where no one knows what is happening or is lost trying to get some banking done. It is akin to going to the passport office to get your passport issued. You end up feeling depressed !!

The news just fake
by lalit bagwe on May 14, 2009 09:43 AM  | Hide replies

I totally agree to the comments made by Saahil. IPru is in the verge of downsizing. Their are not just sacking their sales force but even sacking people from operations background across all levels with 1 day notice. Many of their branches in Mumbai have been shut down due to lack of business. Moreover, the Operational Staff have been pressurized to do cross selling as it has been included in their KPI's. which seems to be rather foolish..........

IPRU is bull shiting
by Saahhil Agrawal on May 13, 2009 10:19 PM

I have been one of the employees of IPRU who has been laid off. Like myself, many others, who are not even from the sales vertical, where attrition is high, the company has asked us to leave on 1 day notice with only 2 months of Basic pay. I do not understand how the company is reporting to employee 3000 people in 2months, when actually it is firing operations workforce from every grade, fixing coffee tea timings, removal of security from its rural branches, and so many other things. So much for growth, stability and recruitment of 3000 people. Huh !!!
