Dear readers please dont get fooled by this IPL circus. It is just a way of making money. Industrialists, filmstars, businessmen , board officials are all fooling the public in creating an empty image of supporting city teams by hallow advertisement. They are just copying various football leagues from the west. Football is a full lenght game of mass appeal played by more than 100 countries in the world. Whereas this IPl is a truncated version of 50 match over cricket payed by 9-10 test playing countries.And since India has nothing except cricket, these crooked buinessmen and filmstars are out to make money out of the sport. Please dont waste your time and money on this. If you really love cricket see a test match in Lords or Eden gardens.

i agree with you. KKR is most recognisable IPL team inspite of doing worst it has a great marketing value due to SRK and his business tactics. i think SRK is a far better business man then most ofthe business man

I think others are not focussing much on making there teams a brand and sell them.People like Ambani and MAlya are focussing more on having good teams that can win and make their brand on their own rather than using the songs like korbo lorbo
Buchanan, what is his game plan? is he feeling that India is seriously becoming the world center of Cricket and Money and the Australia obviously don't like it one bit...they are not even allowing Lee or any for the 20/20 world cup probables to play!!!

Australian board cares for its players . thats why they have asked players like Shaun Tait and lee to be away from the tournament and prevent them from exagerrating injury .
gone are those days pleasure of watching gentle man game called cricket, it was only after india won the longer version of 50 overs game that indian crickters started to earn huge amounts , after 20 overs world cup win the franchise owners and the board captlised on the hype and started a different game so called cricket and one cannot see any skill or artistery in batting the likes of sunil govaskars,david govers,GR vishvanaths,richerds are a thing of past, in this form of game only hitting the ball all around with out any purpose ( other than to earn money by all the parties invovled ) mark my word one day people will be fedup with this kind of game and it is not far away test matches and 50 overs matches will gain promenance over present 20/20 circus and all the baffons will disapper . long live treditional cricket .

IPL is a Hype with so called Brand with no tangible Product & Services. Atleast dot com bubble Realty Bubble had something to offer. What this IPL is to offer in terms of value creation to the INvestors ?.May be waisting your time and money. If the organizer of this game feel Brand value of $2b, then why don't they keep this in thier pocket and spare the innocent Indian getting fooled again.

PL is following the same lines of soccer leagues..remember sometime back, soccer league companies were listed & people lost money in europe.. listing is a opportunity for the team owners to get thier money back
