fake currency notes
by soma varma on Nov 02, 2009 11:03 AM

A couple of months back there was a news item : a container load of fake currency was seized at cochin port?! What happened to it? How was it disposed? burnt? or given to parties or politicians to make them corrode pathis or invest in deal estate?. Nothing is heard any where after seizure of fake currency, coddupt officils, polishemen,or bu-giness tycooons avoiding crores in tax. An ordinary pisspocket on the contrary is thrashed black and blue when caught by a polisheman (in spite of "right of criminals",) sent to jail for---?. A solution for these CAN COME ONLY when (solvent of public opinion, vigilance commission fast court judgements without any "posted to heaar on") the "real guilty", becomes, ""PUNISH-ABLE"", -not EXEMPTED, BEING MLAs,MPs GOVT SERVANTs, MINISTERs,LAWYERRs/AD-VOCATEs,his HOLINESSes, his HIGHNESSes, his EXCELLENCYs OR PEEAYs TO these. Any more--

Will banks issuing fake currency notes be closed?
by amber rai on Oct 31, 2009 06:19 PM  | Hide replies

Check this - if u as an individual hold a fake currency (whoever gave u) an FIR is filed and u might be jailed. What happens if u get a fake currency from a bank. Will the bold commissioner or the RBI governor close the bank from doing operations? Guess the answer - NO? Why :) because although they gave it over their counter they don't know from where it came and worst u cant argue. Guess what!!! if banks don't know they r spared whereas individuals are supposed to face FIR's. Hypocrisy is definitely the price of democracy.

I Pitty your friend, there is a new article in rediff today how to handle the fake note situation... RBI policies are not public friendly.
1) You will never get the money refunded.
2) on top of loosing the your hard earned money... an FIR will be registired with local police station.

i suggest.. dispose it yourself (by tearing/buring). as it is an offence if you are caought with possision of fake note or try to pass it on with your knowledge of fake note.

Unable to control the menace including ATMs dispensing fake, RBI has passed the buck to the common man- read aam aadmi of congress. If bankers can not differentiate, how can a common man on the road decide if the note is fake?

FAKE CURENCY
by rajathi on Sep 17, 2009 08:24 PM  | Hide replies

politicians or anybody who is involved in the process of either breaching the security or helping in printing and circulating should be punished severely as they are antinationals and even if there is suspicion, the persons concerned should not be allowed to continue in their jobs.
The RBI has to implement stringent methods against those who try to weaken our economy.

machines/pens must be used to check notes.

use chq/credit cards.do not accept money from unknown people.call back notes annually.use newer notes.

your way is not practicle to use credit card as it works only at malls & estbd. shopping areas . rest all what to do where money has to pay in cash at jewellery shop , builders , angadia etc.
