Is there anything original in what Indians do? We can of course create mini-versions or second-hand versions of what foreigners do, but do we have a lead in any industry? All the original inventions come either from places like US, Europe or Japan. Korea was in a pathetic state in the fifties. Look at S Korea now. Compared to such countries, what have we achieved in the past 60 years after independence?
no matter how hard we try, out mental and physical constitution will never equal those of whites, there are just two people occupying this planet, the white, the blacks, the yellows and subcontinental intelligent apes ( copy ) who are good at learning like parrots and apes.

we missed the whole 250 years of industrial revolution.we were not even alowed to make salt. THe whole know how of the cottage industry and everything was lost in these 5 generations. It will take time but we will overcome them.ITs just 60 yrs since independance and we are doing great. All those people who say te chinese and indians copy should know that this is the penalty the whites have to pay for colonising the world. What do u think that we reinvent the wheel? that we allways remain 300 years backwards. Just think.People like u will always live licking the ass of some white.

man still if u knw the last point u can start form their! the education systems is still not teaching the latest
Can someone kindly fill in the following statistics for me ?
1. Number of IIT-ian inventions/co-inventions that have made a revolutionary change to this world. 2. Number of IIT-ian's who have given back to Indian Engineering talent, by staying back in India an opening Indian companies 3. Number of patents/inventions made solely from their research in India 4. Number of Nobel Prize winners who are ex-IITians
I'd be interested to know why cheap and subsidized world-class engineering education which benefits < 2000 people each in a student population of over 20 million in a year : that is 2000/200,00,000 = 0.00001% gets such attention at all. When the Government talks about aam-aadmi, how about making world class education a little more something that everyone can attain?
Myself a Powai alumni. There are many problems within the IIT system such as overhauling the quality of education, research orientation and global exposure. IITs needs to tackle the stupid government interference in the IITs management, fee, reservations, hiring staff in good numbers etc. IITs must also bridge the difference between non-IIT institutions so that other students could benefit by knowledge sharing in their respective campuses and most importantly IITs must strongly discourage the present JEE money minting menace by creating a black list to debar the coaching institutes.
If you're not from IIT and you decide that taking challenges is a good thing for you, then you have all these innovative designs to compete against and out-perform.
I guess that is what the IIT brand stands for.
What it really stands for is still very much a mystery, at least to me :-D
In any case, it is important to note that if given easy internet access, most youngsters will find making something good and useful is much easier if you concentrate on the problem, rather than compete with IIT designs.
(The first is an observation and the second is a suggestion.)
