Whatever be the authors and readers view, I never found any store so customer friendly.

Walking into a Wal-Mart Store is a pleasure, everything so well arranged and in ample quantity. And its staff so user friendly and they sell for less, always.

Never ignore the Rollback balloons. You will be missing a good deal!

Wal-Mart's success lies in its great work culture and wonderful understanding of the customer and market needs. They adjust accordingly. And thats how a professional organization works.

Walmart !!

what differentiates them is differentiation and low prices...

1. before they set upstore they look for a warehouse nearby so that reduces their transportation cost, waiting time and they know what inventory will they will require asap..

if u have a such a large network, such immense use of product tracking technology and such strategies u r ought to suicceed..

however , ppl may say about paying low wages to worker..etc or stuff.. but bottomline they r successful !!!

The ace of Wal-mart is their location - You take the exit from a highway and you are in to a Wal-Mart with all free parking. Take your car and enter the store, so easy to shop.

wal-mart story

watch "high cost of low price" documentary on Wal-Mart. Wal-mart has single handedly led to closure of several mom-and-pop small business stores across united states. And its record of employee benefits is the worst among retail chains in the US. After watching the documentary i doubt you will want to buy a wal-mart product, at least i stopped.

You are right. They have several lawsuit for short changing employees. Hiring illegal aliens via contractors gender discrimination in salary and promotion etc.
Secondly their business model is they will keep 30% of items which are good quality at cheap price. 70% of the item they have are cheap quality which should be sold the dollar shops or 99cent shops but are priced at 100% profit margin. So by probability you will end up paying more.

Missing crux

Went through the article, but nowhere was it even hinted about the so called 'secret of success'. The whole thing is a boorish reporting about celebrity performance and who said what about 'seizing the opportunity'. Kinda yet another piece of BS reported under mileading headline.
