Online Access Control
How does a portal / website secure online access for its registered users?
How does a portal / website eliminate the risk of phishing completely?
By integrating Blue ID 2
Blue ID 2 provides a portal a mechanism to allow the customers to use the Phone as an Authentication device. With the risk of phishing and identity theft removed, access is made safe, easy and a mass market phenomenon.

No. A separate Transaction password is given by the card holders bank which in some cases is sent to the mobile number or e-mail Id registered by the said card holder with that Bank (and it keps changing every time as a security measure).

Citibank Card
by Sky High on Jul 31, 2009 08:35 PM  | Hide replies

Anybody using Citicard could help me with this. There's already an iPIN issued by Citibank, is there a need to re-register for another one?

Card / Online transaction
by Guest on Jul 31, 2009 12:25 PM  | Hide replies

Card or Online transaction has to be encouraged by RBI by removing the fee collected by Traders in the name of Service charges for Card transaction. This will make a good entry to reduce cash usage and hence long term Black money transaction as none will have cash / need cash for any type of payments. Yesterday I paid 60K for a hospital as Cash, just because they will charge 2% service charge for using my Debit card. So has to remove cash from ATM and pay them.

Truly said. If the plastic money is used even for paying the local bus & auto fare , the question of fake currency which is reported in leading print media now a days, will be sorted out in one stroke. But the service charges of 2% should be discouraged at any cost. There are many advantages of using plastic money. Because every paisa will be accounted.

Very True. At one go they say that Black money should be reduced and second they discourage plastic money, which is comparitively safe and helps reduce black money.

2% service charge is not true. That is the tax we have to pay. If you are giving the cash, that will not be accounted, but if you are using card, then it has to be accounted. That s not surcharge, tax money.

PIN entry at POS
by gyaneshkumar gyani on Jul 31, 2009 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

It is a good step to stop misuse of cards at online transaction.
But the PIN entry should also be compulsory at point of sale(such as shops),so that in case of card loss or theft, it will not be misused.

Chip and Pin is already very popular in Europe (Bancontact) and is aggressively planned for UK. Its kinda good, we can implement too.
