I remember Mr. Jaithirth Rao from his Citibank days especially during the early 90s ( a la Harshad Mehta). This is one brilliant mind. Eco Housing is mired in politics as well as runs a risk of becoming a mini sub prime since the low income segment has no concept of return of capital. I wish Mr. Rao the very best and I wish I could work with him even as a legman or man friday. Cheers.
Wish you all the best in low cost housing. I am confident that you will achieve what you set your mind on. You may also remember at the last AGM of Mphasis you presided, you had promised to visit 'The Assn of People with Disability' Bangalore to identify employable skills with short time periods of training. Looking forward to your visit. Thomsv@gmail.com
The direction jerry has taken seems to be one of the best next only to education and health ...Yes it is big task even to get this price from residents of jhoppadi's as our politicians have pampered them to think that by hoisting a green or blue flag they can get the area for free....Besides the tendancy to migrate into the cities for job oppertunities is very high ...i think jerry should inititte a discussion with govt in line with neelakani for a great adventure....he can really make india look better....Ultimatly the law, the land and the breakers are in govt ....
I am one of the ex-employee of MphasiS when it started with 100 people. I know Jerry as a person, and is confident on his visions in whatever he does. I wish Jerry Roa all the success in assignments that he choose to work on.
