Dear Mr.Sanjay Anandram, Many thanks for a useful writeup. I am working for an NGO with great mission to establish a cost free University for the meritorious econ.weaker students. WE had been facing hurdles of recession. We want to sustain by possible social entreprenurial initiaitives and involve ourselves in dev programmes such as dev & trg for less dev schools. Would you please guide us on our coarse? Kind regards, DNS Siva Kumar
Normally these startups are started by people who has impeccable track record working for big organizations around the world and naturally they are backed up by venture capitalists. These heads would have turned their departments into profitable in the organizations they worked earlier. But once they startup something on their own,80% fail to bring their startups to a reasonably successful stage. So where lies the problem?.I found from my observation the vigour and professionalism is not percolated to employee level. The employees treat this company for their experience and quit for bigger companies later.Employee confidence and professionalism also seemed to be low in startups. They may be technically good but less risk taking ability.Above all power mongue nature of key people also play spoilsport who are few yet very important for the organization.I observed these key people would recruit people under them who are known to them and see that they do not cause any problem to them. They think that their comfort zone should not be disturbed. They also seemed to be way off the mark in the processes they follow.
I have been planning on starting my own for so very long but unable to take the leap. Is there any one among the readers who have some experince to share (on any stream of business as a matter of fact). That would be a whale of help in my endeavors. Thanks.

Leaps are taken by overcoming the fear to failure. If u want to take the leap and still be safe then you can never take it. Remember no book or article will tell u - Businessmen are few of the most courageous people. They are the risk takers are and they are no lesser than a rope walker with a pole.

Thanks boss. I kinda read that somewhere but what I am looking for is if someone in recent times ( year or under) tried his/her hands at a startup to share some experience.

I have experience. I adopted some wise means and also some foolish methods. Later, I came to know that I should not have done that. But fortunately I could correct my mistakes, so could achieve success. Of course, my company has never been so big that people will know its name. But considering the capital with which I started it, it was a good success. But how do I communicate with you?
