High cancer drug costs may hit medicare

Cancer to surpass heart disease

Soon after few years cancer would be the number one killing agent in the world and the culprit behind this is mainly tobacco. Both active and passive smoking give serious health hazards and I wonder why this Delhi court gave judgement against ban of smoking in films. Many teen youngsters blindly follow their screen heroes to start with and later get addicted to smoking and cannot come out of it. Why are we not supporting prevention of such diseases?

This article is completely US centric, Could rediff please explain how this is relevant to India?

Or have standards dropped so low, that anything copied and pasted from anywhere is fine, and you won't bother to respond to user feedback.

Most of the Drug Manufacturers are US based. My wife is a cancer patient was advised to take Herceptin 440 mg Inj., every three weeks... total 15 injections. Do you believe the cost of ONE injection it's just Rs. 1.50 Lakhs... rest of the multiplication you do it.
