YSR too is involved
by Ajay P on Jan 20, 2009 03:58 PM

Its a well known fact that Dr.Y.S.Rajshekara Reddy is also party to the Scam as its believed that he had pocketed nearly 1500 Crores in Satyam Scam.He had negotiated the management takeover one week prior to the exposure of the scam with several Corporates.
If it was BJP or any other Govemnment at the centre other than Congress.Dr.Reddy was sure to be behind bars.
Now future ride is going to be tough with Dr.Reddy if any Central agency takes over the investigation.

Employees undergoing trauma
by Anshul Rastogi on Jan 20, 2009 03:18 PM

We cant disocunt the fact that, what ever has happened, has happened due to persons like politicians and beurocrates hands in gloves with Raju, who has been falsifying books and greasing the palm of theses reprobates.
with the retrospection.Employee have been taken a stride and who fell victim to such wistful act and drama. Mr YSR, who being a close and abetting Raju for all his misdeeds, helped him acquire land at relatively cheaper and tawdry prircing is shrugging off his shoulder. Its not fair to poke redifcule at satyam and its employees, who are human being and must be undergoing trauma and acimony. So New board of director should take propitious action in order to mitigate the tension and agony of employees, then they can salvage satyam, which is know by the work of its people outhere

Corporate India the Real Culprit and not the Politicians
by Sandy on Jan 20, 2009 12:32 PM

It is very disturbing to notice that everyone is trying and blaming politicians for the Satyam Scam and letting off the real culprits the corporates from this fraud. May be Raju might have used political clout to get things done, but the fact remains that the real cheater here is a part of Corporate India . He is the one who planned all the cunning moves. Politicains are just a part of the system the corporate used to carry out this fraud. If it was a petty theft the thief would have just bribed a policemen and got away. Here with ths magnitude of the fraud Raju bribed and used all in the system like politicians, bueracrats, Media, bankers to carry out his plans. So for god's sake dont allow this corporate sharks to get away scott free by putting the blame on politicians.

We should not use these short of words for a person who have been role model for many. Its our SYSTEM's Fault that they were not able to catch the fault, we should blame them equally

What do you mean by system fault? Do you mean to say that a person can commit rape and murder, but if the police is not able to investigate and bring him to books, then it is not the perpetrator's fault? Go get a life. If he is a role model, then shame on people who consider him as one!! He is a third-rated fraud

How to Kill Satyam
by ContraView on Jan 20, 2009 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

On one hand Govt is trying its best to help Satyam to stand on its feet and on the other hand here is what different people are doing:

a. TCS: 'Satyam's clients have approached us';
b Infy: 'We will not proactively poach clients, but if they come to us, we are open for talks'
c. Wipro: 'We dont mind taking Satyam's employees as well as its Clients'
d. CNBC: Creat panic repeatedly every day morning highlighting in flashy red color (at 9:30 am) - 'This is a Company which is headed for liquidation'
e. Satyam's new Director Mr.Tarun Das: 'I am taking this up as a Public Service'
f. Satyam's new Board: Give interviews on a daily basis on the sidelines of every conf, meeting, gathering, and even near a public toilet. 'We have paid Dec salaries, but dont have money for Jan'; 'We are also considering an option for Sell-out'; 'We have recd 40 job applications for CEO post' (I doubt if CEO position gets 'job applications')

g. Employees: (playing passive role) Seek sympathy from one and all. Orphans. Destitutes. - Why dont you guys come forward and take a 10% or 20% pay cut voluntarily?? You all have benefited in lakhs of rupees in the past. Even we are taking hit in other companies to save our companies & our jobs.

I appreciate attention of concerned people and feedback from others! Good day.

The only solution for those working in/satyam is to be ready for reduced salaries - willingly! And Many compnies IT sector have reduced staff or reduced salaries !So for their own survival those working in Satyam should work hrd -ensure that they get the DUES from Clients-as in this scenario even the Client may not opt for other compnies but also not pay the amount due to them to Satyam! In that case onoly option for manege, mnt will be to file suits for recovery of amounts from Client and that in foreign countries!with so many suits filed against Raju and top manegement the employees should work hrd to retain clients and be ready for work at rduced slaries as per the situation!

Dear rediff,
behave properly, nothing is prooved as of now. Let the judicial system decide it.

Do not forget that he was feeding more than 75000 families directly and lacks indirectly.
First you build a greta organization like satyam and then blame Raju.

I am not defending raju, but the fact remains the same.
Till few weeks ago he was been respected as great entrpruner and suddenly what happend to you guys. You ppls , media only reacts on exterem ends, just control your emotions.

paul! what u said is right. He is still my hero for what he has done over the years. He built a great empire called satyam. He started 108 ambulance service like the UK ambulance. By this he saved the lives of over 1 lakh people. till recently he was by all alone sponsoring this. He adopted 120 villages and provided free education and water supply for all these villages. Could any one including the greats like tata's, birla's, infosys chairman, wipro chairman etc done this till now.If he really wanted to fudge the accounts he would have left the country and then revealed those. He did not do that. So i believe there is a big conspiracy behind all this. Never believe the media/ press in AP because they are all biased. 7 out of 9 newspapers support congress and the rest 2 support TDP. by no means they will reveal the truth. Raju is made another scapegoat like the volksvogan in 2005.

What are you talking about? Stop this non sense of him feeding 75000 families. They are working and they are getting paid. Yeah, we should give credit to him for showing building this company and we already showed our appreciation in many ways.
Now that we know he is a crook, he should be treated like one. Dont you understand the damage that this moron has done to the Indian IT industry, Indian economy, share holders and all those employees. Stop defending this idiot.

How can we blame just one man when EACH AND EVERY person was disloyal ? How can we exclude Auditors like PwC ? How can we exclude the Board of Directors who have washed their hands off so clean? How can we exclude banks who gave hefty loans without true verfication? How can we exclude the Chief Minister of AP who allowed leniency for Raju's fellow businessman? How can we exclude managers who were never able to trace which bench employee under him had been away from office for how long ?
