Joker,

Has he taken this real estate to build his private property? All the land that Infy has taken is used to create world class infrastructure. Just yesterday there was a documentary on Infy in Discovery channel. See it the next time it comes, you will know what Infy is.

Incidentally, Venkateswarlu.. any relation to Satyam Raju??? Rest assured, Murthy is not a crook like this crook.

Mr.NRN, We are proud of your achievement
by Ananth on Feb 27, 2009 04:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Infosys is very clear about job opportunities. Only knowledgeable person with customer focus can survive there. Unfortunately, In India not every one is an engineer and not every one is knowledgeable. Regrettably ‘sour grape’ mentality outdo some human beings most of the time.

Whether you like it or not, NRN is an institution in himself. Let unjingoistic people keep writing about senseless remarks. It does not matter. NRN is an ICON in India.

Mr.New New, I am not an IT guy. I am not in a well. Please look at this way. People like you can only work on companies, where as people like NRN can create companies and help ordinary middle class engineers to make a prosperous living, provided they show skillfulness in their work….

I read all the comments above and am quite surprised at how people have the abilities to find negative even in the most positive people and situations. Just makes me think if this is the reason India is where it is, it is called the crab mentality. It is true that even in the most respected institutions, there will be rotten apples and the same goes for Infy but that is because that is how people are. But that doesn't undermine what NRN is. You are not the only one who has seen NON-DESI companies, we have seen them too. We have seen people cramped in mind-numbing environments churning out work and being squeezed. We have seen people thrown out after 15 years of dedication with one days notice. Infy has still to fall to that level. Wherever you work, you still have only one cubicle to yourself, but in Infy's case, employees have a resort experience, Infy doesn't have to do that. Like other companies, they can build square blocks on tiny pieces of land and keep the rest of the cash in their bellies or pass a small bit to shareholders. If NRN wants, he can live in a palace but he still lives in a 2 bed apt. His wife spends most of her time doing charity. He has created an organisation which India should and is proud of, which other companies can only dream of being like. Such cos should be encouraged as they can change lives, it already has changed so many. So Mr. NEW NEW, or whatever your name is, if 'growing up' means thinking like you we are better off believing like kids do

Status of Mr. Narayana Murthy
by Krishnappa on Feb 27, 2009 04:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Let us not write whatever we feel like doing on the platform.

Mr. Narayana Murthy is an Icon in the IT field. This apart, he has all credentials to talk on good governance, honesty, hard work and perseverence. Look at the umpteem Leaders (of the past and present)of Industry, Banking, Business and the like sticking to positions in the Companies and Organisations much after their physical and mental alertness have been reduced to unworkable levels. Mr. Murthy gave up the position in Infosys sincerely after crossing 60 years and has been advising the Company on request.

Mr Murthy is not seeking any purlicity for himself vis-a-vis he is not asking any body to call him to give advice.

This platform could be decent and may be utilised for fruitful and enlightening discussion.

Hyped Company

Lot of Hype around NRN and Infosys
by a r on Feb 27, 2009 03:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is lot of Hype around NRN and Infosys than actual value add.

In 2002-03, Infosys was at pick of controvery due to Sexual harresment by Phaneesh Murthy, then Director and Sales Head. To cover up entire issue, Infosys had settled the lawsuit out of court for a whooping 3 million dollars. Till then it didnt had any employee redressal nor HR policy related to harrassement at workplace.

Now, NRN talk high funda things like Corp Governace, Education System, Diversity blah blah things....and also makes mockery of other companies.

When asked if Infosys would be open for an audited keep in view what has happened with Satyam, he didn't have a answer to it nor he was open for auditing. This itself shows there may be many irregularities in Infosys as well.

It is just hype created around Infosys. NRN, Nanadan, Mohandas should shut their mouths.

The point 1 - You can not control individual sexual urges or in US it is impossible to doge a sexual harassment case even if that case is fabricated

The poin 2 - This point is hypothetical. The Indan Govt has not asked for the internal audit of Infosys, so the question of "not open for audit" does not arise.

I guess you do not know a lot about INfy but you take pride in bashing Infy.

Well..Infy surely does have and Anti-Sexual harassment policy in place. and any complaints are investigated by third parties...
talking about governance Infy surely does things different from other companies...it gives a fair chance to everyone.

NRN...Living Legend.....
by Venkatachalam Murugesan on Feb 27, 2009 03:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think, NRN participated in front, to transform India in the globalised economy world using IT.

When all politician's and leaders were speaking about transforming India, He did it in practical and leading the youngsters to show the way how to do honest business..

Leaders has to do something before preaching to others..

So, as per India entrepreneurship, NRN is a living Legend...

Regards
Venkat
