Panacea in Hand : 1st Jan is designated as Tricycle Day
by Skewed on Dec 28, 2009 09:27 PM

1st January 2010 is going to be celebrated as Bycycle Day.

Adopting Cycle is going back to roots and controlling the menace of Cars. More Cars on road is a sign of rising divide between rich and poors. Car aggregates the problem of Air Pollution leading to Climate Change.

Car Owners are facing the pinch of recession. Another attempt is to make Nano Car to tide over recession but all in vain.
Cycle and Tricycle is the new fad across India.
Respect Human . Respect democracy of Road.

Ensure your participation and help build Healthy India.

Enjoy your ride on Cycle Rickshaw & Bycycles.

The secret of TN's success
by neha on Dec 28, 2009 01:36 AM  | Hide replies

TN is doing well because they have kept migrants from UP-Bihar out. They have not allowed dirty hindi-speaking to pollute their state.
Maharashtra MUST throw these UP-Bihar migrants out, if marathi people want to protect their health. Excess population of useless creatures(beggars) who are outsiders is causing health problems in Maharashtra.
Raj Thackeray sir is right. TN's success just goes to prove a if a state creates barriers for UP-Bihar migrants, the local people benefit.

In TN you can find people from all over India. That's the reason for TN's success.

Mumbai will remain our slum capital untill you people think of the rest of us as Indians.

Most of the slum dwelling migrants in Mumbai are from drought prone interior maharshtra ( 38% ) of total. Tamil Nadu's success lies in the fact that they have taken development to district level not keeping it confined to 1 or 2 metros.

By the way Hindi speaking Hariyana , Himachal and Delhi are much ahead of Maharshtra in Social and Health indices.

it only appaling for poor
by Lal on Dec 28, 2009 01:05 AM

Poor suffer every day, there is no health care for poor, its for middle class only and its not that good. Rich have their own private doctors. they would not dare go to a government run health care. they know better.
Forget government run health care, it does not work, not in india anyway. However, its the only thing the poor can get access to, so I would say have a government run health but its always going to lose money, it will never be profitable. Then again, should healthcare be for profit? I say no, you cannot put a price on who dies and who does not based on how much it would cost. That is what's happening in the developed world. People CANNOT afford healthcare and business men decide who gets it and who does not. not good. Doctors should decide.

I lived in south for a long time. Indeed I found health services in Tamilnadu outstanding! Health services even in a advanced state like Maharashtra except Mumbai city is pathetic! In northern states it is a shame!

I think it has to do with the political stability and political activism.

Though all politicians are generally corrupt, TN politicians bring development also. And the Tamils are emotionally active people ( i say a bit over active). hence they want to see a developed state.

Infact there is a competition on the development between the two parties when they come to power.

I am sure TN will be a bench mark state very soon.

Problems with water distribution remains one of the primary concerns.

Hindi is one of the national languages. You go reread your history books or maybe you have to read an updated history book.

Rickshow-I'm 20 years old, i've never seen rickshow in TN in my whole life.

Hatred for hindi in TN started long before even my parents were born, if tamilians hate hindi because itwas named by hindu, its because you hindus hate each other soo much. Don't blame meok.

my friend, i studied with Bhramins in Tamil Nadu. they don't have double brain. Just leave caste out of development.
Actually TN shines because People like Periyar struggled and got rights for others too.
If other states too will abolish the Bhramin domination, they too will SHINE!

Today that feifdom has waned. and there are many more representations for "intelligent" people.
