India Needs these techies
by india voice on Aug 26, 2009 04:16 AM  | Hide replies

Indian techies in USA are hardworking individuals but most of them love india and would not miss a chance to return back home but we need to understand that there are not many oppurtunities back here and the political and buercratic corruption in india is hindrance as nri's to start business in india have to work with corrupt system which they are unable to do. Hope our politicians mend there ways and become little human and instead of earning wealth in thousand of crores let them earn in few hundred of crores and use the remaining for the devlopemnt of the country...

People like Mathews need to know that H1B is temporary work visa (not an immigration vehicle). What part of temporary he can't understand?

Understand the problem first then comment. The main problem is that if H1 visa extn is rejected or for some reason H1 visa holder loses his job, he is asked to leave country within a short time, in some cases 48 hours. USCIS should give enough time for an individual to wind up things in US.

It's not that he doesn't know it.. Bottom line he is paid to make H1B guys transition into a permanent stay.

So he has to try all means to allow that to happen. We all know that 80% of H1Bs eventually apply for GC and become US citizens in most cases.

Last year they even did Gandhigiri to get EAD's... out of turn due to a INS error.
