Actually it'a all about culture and history. The west became industrialized first, which helped it to colonize and dominate the world- right up to the 60s. Industrialization brought about a social revolution- the breaking down of the feudal structure and strictures and allowed the emancipation of women, who became consumers in their own right, not of their of menfolk- thus creating a more open, progressive economies. The rest of the world, mostly colonized world saw Westerners as their betters and aped their masters lifestyle and vices but not their virtues. In the end after 'independence' most countries had their own govts, who took up where their White masters left off- so their value system was skewed in favor of western-origin products- after all its what their colonial masters used to use. With western markets saturated, its only natural for firms to tackle the next biggest market, rife for the taking- The East, which has this love-hate relationship with the west, but still, they defer to the western tastes- for now anyways. Besides, all the inventions we enjoy all came feom the west- the east just reverse engineer to make a better mousetrap, that's all. Japan didn't invent the transistor,but it sure as heck made out as thought it did.

i dont mean all indians are idiots but those who believe that india would have more consumers than in the west are wrong because western people spend more and get more salaries and eastern people work for less salary and thats what makes them competetive and what if prices of essential commodities rise fast if govt allowed banks to free lending ,inflation will breakup which is already there and people in east will demand more salary which west cannot afford to give so all our jobs being outsourced to west itself.this is true from the fact that indians who were satified with 1/10 of salry of IT worker in usa is now asking almost 1/3 of usa worker salary and someday even twice.

dont talk bad about the west only they have come up with innovations which we use on the daily life. Microsoft is well known than infosys and ford is well known than tata because scientists and engineers started those companies whereas in india fraud like ratan tata starts a company and we fools go and say he is fu*kin global brand

companies in india would never be comptetive. look at the tata nano,it is piece of crap that ratan tata decided to kill people. will anyone buy that crap in the usa or europe. tata and hyundai cars suck and no way comparable to bmw ford or other car companies. the western companies will rule. see our software industry, all the companies bribe the central bank the RBI to keep the indian currency low to make their exports competitive. and what if obama stops outsourcing to india and china. people will lose jobs and less consumers
