Worst Managers in Satyam Computer should be kicked out by Tech Mahindra
I hope that un-professionalism by many managers (Due to which I was forced to leave)and RCC's in Satyam may now be reduced once Tech-M steps in.This exists in Many Business units of Satyam I have heard lots of complaints from guys there.
Fact 1:Unprofessional,Inefficient Managers encouraging favoritism :Their are many cases that deserving employees are ignored.
* One Example when I was in Satyam BI Business Unit.Guys with matching skill sets at Delhi Location were sitting idle in bench and despite their requests Guys from other locations like Hyderabad and Chennai were brought on deputation by Mr Sunder Ramanan(where salary is almost equal to USA/UK On site Rs 5000 per day plus salary),This is nothing but literally wastage of precious company money.
*In both the on-site and offshore project allocation also favored guys are given preference and guys having no good terms with top managers are not preferred and were not taken into the projects despite being the deserving candidate.
Fact 2 :Managers behaving like a dictator:
*Many managers who are working here since long time forget to work as a employee and start behaving like a dictator and create their own rules surpassing company policies for their benefit.
* For example I recall one manager K.R from Bangalore office, he was not letting one associate move to some other non south location despite of the fact he was required there at the new location.

With great respect to all the really good Andhra IT workers, let me inform you all that there are lots of rotten eggs, from your state, spoiling every Indians' reputation in US. The fact is most of the Andhra IT guys on H1B in US are frauds.

I had a roomie, he claimed he had 4 years exp in Java. But he had never heard of the term reflection. This guy didnt know the difference between a virtual class and an interface. Come on...these are basic stuff, even a 6 month exp guy knows the answer to these things.

My colleague used to attend phone interviews for his andhra friends.

Eventhough your comments have no relevance to Satyam, I have to agree that you have stated the actual fact. Now everyone is realising that there are lots of Andhra techies with fake exp, fake education certificates etc. Just search for "Vision new jersey" on google news.

I think the Indian govt should take immediate action and try to correct this position. May be they can bring some reservation policy so that all states get an equal chance to go abroad and work and get a decent salary. Based on their salary may be they could get some dowry if it is legally allowed

1. Do a background check on any Indian with Reddy, Rao, Nama, Mada, Korrapatti, Ganti and Teja surnames. There are reddys and raos from Karnataka also, to differentiate, check birth place in his/her passport. There are other surnames also, just check the passport with birthplace / 'issued from' as Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) OR Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).

2. Scrutanise the resume from A to Z. Compare a candidate's resume to the one he took for stamping to the ones floating around in consultancies across USA. One AP guy should have 10-20 different resumes.

3. Call up each and every client and company listed in the AP guys resume. The Indian experience listed are mostly non-existent. Even for companies where they have actually worked, check the time duration with the client. AP ppl are experts in moving projects here and there in their resume. Also verify the team size and role mentioned in the resumes.

4. At the port of entry, ask for their resume and pls verify it with each and every client location mentioned.

5. If possible, companies should monitor many fresh H1b AP girls who just converted from H4. Most will be on the phone or internet trying to get their work done by others externally.

6. Also, pls monitor AP message boards related to US Visa.

My personal experience :
* I along with 4 associates was released from the project despite our hard work, appreciations for our performance to accommodate one lady associate whose knowledge, contribution in the project was zero and neither she worked hard , but put in the project since she was having very good terms with the Top managers like VKD amd SR in BI Business unit.and they wanted her to make billable since she was on bench
* Their was other project where my skills were required but the RCC/HR made me to sit idle in my Business unit rather than letting me contribute to other Business unit for full 3 months before I and one more guy felt harassed and were forced to decide to resign.and Finally we left Satyam. and now feeling very relaxed after joining our present job.

I Hope the new management discusses with the associates in the secret and Kick out these un-professional corrupt managers and their slave employees out of our beloved Satyam

Agreed nothing wrong said.not only the senior managers like sunder ramanan and Venkat KD many more dumb and autocratic persons like kalyan kumar, rs nanduri,Prasad Gaddam are also there who promote regionalism and partiality in Satyam favoring there close persons for every opening and ignoring the deserving guys , and RCC's like Mani (Godharmanan),elumalai also do the same ,may be they could be pressurized by these senior managers. But really these garbage should be cleaned now by Tech Mahindra in order to purify Satyam .

No....any more it can afford to retain
by mallaiah anchoori on Apr 20, 2009 09:48 PM

No no more..any longer can it be retained after being taken over by the Mahendra people for a simple reason that Satyam has become a very big "ASATYAM"after the greatest fraud to have ever been perpetrated by its erstwhile chairman Ramalinga Raju who named the company after his father's name. The moment one remembers it now, only the Raju's shadow strikes to any one.The name has lost all its credibility & now only stands for an icon for manipulations & malpractices resorted to its earlier management.Let people not suffer any more from the nightmare of having lost all their stock values invested in Satyam. No doubt, there is bound to be some confusion initially in the minds of people as is the case with change of name for any thing for that matter.People still go well with the changed names of metropolitan cities like Madras & Bombay without forgetting their greatness.Satyam brand has its name on account of the expertise of its staff who could prove the same even after the take over.No wise management also likes to retain a stigmatised name of the company taken over. The blot on it remains indelible-thanks to Raju. The company which proved expert in reversing all the good work & name it earned by reversing its name & float a new company "Maytas" can never come out of the blemish it suffers from the serious irregularities it was subjected to by Raju. Only its contribution to the productivity & profits of Mahendra group venturing it take over should go to prove otherwise.
