for a brand consultant to discuss about options of Brand change without being retained. This gives an impression that he is in need of the assignment.

If Tech-Ma feels they have arrived at the IT junction, they need not hire a consultant.

The name Tech Mahindra should be okay.

The guys who pocket a company for a fortune know exactly what they want to do.

But they will open the hat at the appropriate time.

Nevertheless it has now become a fashion worldwide to hire a consultant for anything and everything.

In medical parlance they say the consultant returns an envelope containing 40% of the amount to the docky who has referred the patient to him/her.

Same thing going on in Brand consulting and A&M environment.

In the US, they charge openly.

Take it or leave it.

Anything stigmatic must be dropped ASAP.

Satyam is a case of colossal stigma.

Both the name and the logo must be buried deep into the Indian Ocean.

Satyam means "Promise" in Tamil and Sanskrit languages. But since the name has been spoiled by their promoter of the company (Ramalingaraju), name and brand should be changed in accordance with Company Law.

Satyam does not mean 'Promise' in Sanskrit. It means Truth...
