Stringent labour/employment laws needed by Anointed One on Oct 22, 2008 10:44 PM Permalink | Hide replies
The present C government has totally failed to safeguard rights of workers. Any new government should consider banning unscrupulous firms that have hire and fire policy. With each employee fired there should be a downgrade for the company. The company cannot make employees the scapegoats for its financial underperformance

I don\'t understand your point, if they company is not earning money, how it can give salary. the company must have rights to protect it by downsizing. Naturally if it earns alot it need more employees for its growth. if the company collapse due to financial burden then all emplyees loose job. Actually alot of poeple like you wants to happen like this.

labhour law should be made state subject. No point in centre defining laws on emplyement. Let Wb define strct laws why many progressive states define libreal hire fire law. Progress of nation will happen fast in competeuve way. The whole issue of regional imbalnce is due to centre holding too much power. MAKE LABHOUR LAWS are state subjects . Each local people can define what they want
