Barak = Mu Barak

Hussain = In the glory of Allah

Obama = distant cousin of 'Osama'

Now, hell with his name. I think he is a good combo of everything. In any case we never know someone till they performed. As Indians we should not depend so much on american political changes and it should not matter really to us who is at white house. If we are self sufficient and contributors to the world, then any president at white house will want to be nice to us indians. We need not look outside for any support or need not fear for any attack.

For me My Country comes First, my religion - Hindu next and my cast at the end and least important.

It is always better to recognise a person by his deeds and not by the caste he belongs to. Why don't people in rediff board shed caste feelings?

Just be a proud Indian, do not bring caste and religion here, it is my humble request.

This is the problem in India. Many consider themselves and some communities as intelligent that India has most stupid people per sq. km than any other country in the world.

What is the contribution of India to the world in field of science, technology, business, law, medicine or for that matter any field? Nothing - ZERO (literally) Brahmins are the most foolish of all people. Just mugging up some lessons or juggling with numbers does not mean he is intelligent.

Bagchi,
Be a brahmin and always be proud of being brahmin. Exhort others to become a brahmin in true sense.
Do something more for the society around you.

You have put your questions quite bluntly but foolishingly.
Contribution of India in modern science is entirely different issue than brahmans being 'most foolish of all peolple'.
If India survived the civilizational assault from islam and christanity, the prime role was played by brahmins. Even Ambedkar, the most ardent critic of 'Brahmins' acknowledge this fact.

U dumb,Mr. Gopalkrishnan has made a general statement, Go and see the corporate sector in India and US, u will find mostly Bongs and South Indians (Tamil Brahmins and Keralites) in the top notch positions....
Try to think beyond municipality offices, though I am sure ur educational and family background is of the same level.

Good job, thank you for reminding every one that we will never-ever elevate our thinking. This is all we care abt bengali, bhrahmin, muslim, hindu, punjabi.
Thanks for reminding, I always tend to forget that after 60 years of independence and calling our self secular country in hearts we dont actually mean any of this. My next comment will be regarding cast to.

Sonal Shah - Gujarati, Preeya Bansal - Punjabi, Nick Rathod - Rajasthani/Gujarati, and now Anjan Mukerjee - Bengali. There is diversity here, and they are all well to do in their respective fields, and if they can contribute to the Obama Administration, so be it. I cannot for a moment think "Bengali Brahmins are very intellegent," for there is another Mukherjee in the Indian Cabinet who sucks.

Hindus are secular, not secularists
by satyarthi on Nov 15, 2008 10:53 PM  | Hide replies

Being a secular in attitude is different from self-branding as 'secularist'. Basically this class is opportunist and parasitic. By saying some 'pleasing word' they exploit all communities.
Just watch their daily intake of 'luxurious items'.

I am asking this question, because, just one day prior to the voting day, he made a statement to solve the Kashmir Issue by Pakistan, India AND America
He wants to see STABLE pakistan (does he mean that giving away kashmir to pakistan will calm down pakistan?) which can help him fighting against terrorism
All his views so far seems PRO ISLAMIC and ANTI INDIA ...
Wait and watch, how far to trust this person as far as relation between india and USA is concerned
