I am a Bong from WB but currently residing in Pune. I am very optimistic about Pune, despite some glitches here and there.
So - Why not about Durgapur. I am sure with the new Expressways in place and possibly well-metalled & oiled by next couple years, we will see good urban cities coming up and Durgapur could be the begnning.
Bardhhaman was always known for good Agrculture and People, and now with new cities inside it will be prosperous as before. But I'll say another 5-10 years to go.Good Luck.

everything is ok, but the city boundaries have to be extended i guess. and people like me who have grown up in the green belts of the town - will sigh at the environmental destruction that will take place. Really, "how green was my valley".Alas, no more.
