THERE ARE SOME HOSPITALS THAT MISUSE THE CLAIMING FACILITY.IF IT IS A DIRECT CLAIMING THEY WON"T PROVIDE THE BILLS TO PATIENTS AND WILL CLAIM MORE AMOUNT FOR THE SAME.
IF THE GOVT. SHOWS INTEREST AND INSTRUCTS ALL THE INSURANCE COMPANIES, EVERY CITIZEN CAN TAKE THE MEDICLAIM POLICY AND GET GOOD TREATMENT LIKE IN U.S.A. AND NO NEED TO FEAR FOR THE BILLS RAISED BY CORPORATE HOSPITALS. Sastry from Hyderabad.

Insurance company is a middle man sitting between patient and doctor. Any middle man increases the cost for both parties.
Main reason why US health care is in disarray is because insurance is pretty much universal in USA. Sure you can learn some good practices from USA. But for health care India doesn't have anything to learn from USA.
I REALLY WONDER HOW ALL THE COMMENTS REGARDING THE APEX COURT JUDGEMENT IS NOT BASED ON THE VERDICT OF THE COURT. THE COURT HAS JUST DIRECTED THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NOT TO DENY RENEWAL OF INSURANCE COVERAGE ON THE BASIS OF HIGH CLAIM RATIO OR PRE EXISTING DISEASES. BUT ALL THE COMMENTS ARE AS IF THE COURT HAS DIRECTED THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NOT TO REPUDIATE CLAIMS DUE TO PRE EXISTING DISEASES.
This is a great news.I am a senior citizen and had to cut my polocy this year because of the high rates. Now can i get the same thing as last year or 2 year ago.Pls email to me if i can get my old rate.DILIPRAJ
Great relief to mediclaim policy holders. At the same time the court should have ruled the Hospitals on tariff. They are chargeing different traffic for patients who are approaching hospital with insurance policy.
SC has done a commendable thing. While these Insurance cos charge hefty premiums, when time comes for claim they make all sorts of excuses. In Most of the cases i'm sure, they make every effory to deny the claim first and when it is persistd by some educated person do they relent. imagine the plight of someone who does not know the way these companies operate..

Cos. charge hefty premiums and then they deny the plicyholder what's truly due to him. That's the case everywhere.
