THere will be no IT jobs in the next 10 years
by Blazer on May 23, 2008 04:06 AM

Every state graduating/producing atleast 1 lac new Engineering and PG graduates

All converging into few metros.

out IT companies are Labour mgmt companies looking for projects abroad.

World economy goes bad so does this IT companies.

West are looking for alternate options to India as cost in India raising.

All these graduates repent one day why the hell their parents shelled out lacs on rupees on their education which may not even fetch them an IT job.

every year India has atleast 25 lacs graduates eligible for IT jobs but are the IT companies churning out that many opportunities. Down the line after 5 years no..... Most of the 10 year exp professionals lose their jobs and those made hay while there was Sun is cool rest suffer due to their lavish expenditure and loans. It is all a cycle Dude

What a Pity? Industry is not trying to set up more Medical Colleges
by Rajesh K Parikh on May 22, 2008 11:05 PM  | Hide replies

Its a well known fact that India has barely increased its output of doctors over the last 15 years. What we seeing with food supply is bound to happen to supply of doctors in the near future - See a sudden surge in cost of medical services due to acute shortage of doctors.

Industry should come forward to set-up medical schools and relevant hospital infrastructure as well.

Its not that we do not have enough eligible candidates. Afterall so many kids with above 90% end up in B.Sc and B Pharm courses for lack of options in medical education

I agree with you. Nasscom proposes to set up 20 new IIITs instead of upgrading the already existing colleges! What a waste, especially when the industry can't churn enough job opportunities for IT professionals.
