Gucci is well aware of the fact that they wont be able to retail their RTW to indians and especially for Ladies . So it makes a gud sense to design Sarees to with their handbags and shoes.
Also from Gucci,s porspective it would be a gud market test (to launch limited edition of Sarees and dhoti kurtas )because they knows very well that the way US and European economies are behaving ,sooner or later, they have 2 pack their bag & baggage and settle in india
For Die hard Gucci fans this localisation might be frustrating but for aspirational this will work.
As the indian Designers are getting strong and posing threats to International Labels, So the offers from GUCCI is natural for them because these people cannot seeing you growing and creating your international label . So beware Guys!

And it will cost a million. They will be made by same mills, and people but will carry a small Gucci label that is what you will be paying for. A visit at Gucci shop in Paris soon you will get the Idea.

Yes there is no shortage of labels in India or elsewhere,With that there are lots of stupids in India as well who will pay an arm anfd a leg for the rubbish just for a name.
