This conforms to the concept of airports as tourist attractions aka Taj Mahals. People will risk life, limb and bank balance to visit them. But this would be different from being "passenger friendly". For the latter they would have to be safe, convenient and affordable besides offering maximum air connectivity. They should also be scalable and upgradable over time as traffic increases. These airports should be willing and able to co-exist with others in a multi-airport system instead of trying to hog all traffic for themselves. Competition should be with other multi-airport systems (in other cities). These are the kinds of airports India needs.
