This is probably not the best place to talk and discuss this matter but have you ever wondered, All the people who cry about their workplace are in IT sector? Inspite of being employed in one of the highest growing industry, do you guys actually feel that you are getting a rough deal? Or is it just "Hip" and "Cute" for you to cry about your employer on your stupid blogs (which only your co-workers care to read).. I think I know the reason,, like Mr. Kumar said in his post below-- you guys have the luxury of internet access at your disposal while at work,, and you have lots of free time,, You guys get paid well enough so you don't really have anything else to CRY about other than your manager, team leader (thats a funny word for me), employer. Do you guys believe you have the hardest of all jobs sitting in front of a computer all day long, pretending that you are working when actually you are updating your blog, myspace, facebook. So I guess you guys also believe that the life of other professionals is much easier.. like Civil engineers spending day on site, mechanical engineers spending day in factory and doctors spending their day in middle of people who are dying and in pain.. Get a life you kids,, you can't make it big unless you work hard and to do that you should love what you are doing. Just because a doctor doesn't have the luxury of net access 24/7 to cry on his blog doesn't make his job any easier or harder. most people choose their profession because they love it.

tata is basically one of the only companies that actually has the potential to bring the indian industry par with the developed world. also, tata is the only company that strives to their promises.

All he is doing is buying foreign assets lost of companies do that they are called multinationals,There is nothing new in this concept.
Ask him to build Ferrari in India, creat some jobs.
He will not be able to do it Ferrari is hand built and India do not have skill to match those are required to build one.
Nothing to be proud off.Not a an achievement just another business deal.
Just another investment.

My dear friends,
Whatever be the name or origin of the company, it is India where they are operating in & it consists of Indians at management level. So expect the same in ANY COMPANY operating in India.
This is nothing new to talk about. Even if you go to that position u will definitely do the same to show that u r the best!!

Gosh are you crazy. By your implication ppl employed with other companies never see growth in their career. Grow up. Infy, Mindtree and HCL Infosys are much better treated in industry. Also I got my job not bcoz of TCS brand name but becoz TCS bodyshopped me and my talent attracted one of the best employers in IT industry. I worked for that company for 3 yrs and I have utmost respect for that company but TCS DESERVES to be EXPOSED and I post these messages just to make sure at least few more people get aware of its anti employee policies. I owe it to myself becoz TCS did not pay me 4 months of earned leave.

I worked for TCS 2 yrs ago. I was bodyshopped to a client where I had Infy, HCL and Wipro guys working with me. Also being in touch with Oracle, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo guys I was able to do an earnest comparison. I will easily qualify TCS as worst employer. And please dont call me a loser becoz now for 2 yrs I have been working with one of the best employers in industry and they are paying me gr8 and treating me extremely well. Earlier also the contractor I worked for was very happy with me and treated me well it was TCS which was shit hole

Honestly speaking,, TCS is just there becoz to move with times they decided to be in the IT.. Otherwise TATA group has expertise in manufacturing, automobiles, engineering... In above article only you read that Ratan Tata is a car and aviation enthusiast... So,, all u nerdy IT guys cribbing about TCS-- Shut the f*ck up.. We pilots and engineers (I mean those who actually work with engines) don't give a shit about your problems.. One common thing I have noticed is all the IT guys working in any company be it MS, Infosys, Wipro keep crying how bad your company treats them.. Do you think other professionals like automobile, mechanical engineers working for other Tata companies get special treatment? No, but they enjoy their work... Who told you to get into IT at first place?? you are just a bloody follower who decided to walk in other's footsteps... I am speaking from my experience as a trained engineer who has friends working in IT, very few people have natural flair and aptitude for IT but becoz of boom in industry everyone wants a piece of pie.. Same thing is happening in aviation now,, all 17yr old kids have suddenly realised that becoming pilot was their childhood dream.. 4-5yrs down the line you'll find these kids crying how bad their work is.. I hav no respect or sympathy for these kind of people

Wow "Bodyshopped" what an exciting word... probably the most adventurous thing that happened to you in all these decades of worthless existence. Do you think anybody cares what oracle, apple, MS or TCS is doing?? When you buy a Tata Safari do you care about the end product (i.e. the car) or do you also get all the information about designer, shop floor worker and how is the company treating?? Thats same with me b*tch,, when I use a software that I paid I do not give a shit about how its homosexual developer was mistreated by his employer.. even if you get a big one up yours,, it doesn't matter to us.. So, once again I repeat SHUT THE F*CK UP,, if you are so depressed go and cry to your gay lover.. not here on rediff

Ratan Tata is a hero...
by Vishwas/Jeff on Mar 08, 2008 07:55 AM  | Hide replies

I am not a big fan of industrialist but Ratan Tata is a different story. He is often underestimated by ignorant people who have no idea about the Tata Group's contribution to the welfare of poor. They are probably the most active business house when it comes to philanthropy. Ratan Tata's vision is making India proud. As an automobile enthusiast it will be a matter of great pride for me when Tata Motors will acquire these big brands and prove the might of Indians to the worlds. And if a man makes a balance between his passion and philanthropy then I do not find anything wrong with it. People should be grateful that at least he is doing something for the welfare of poor voluntarily, unlike hypocrites like Ambani brothers, Mittal, Subrato Roy, Amitabh Bachchan who love to be in limelight and even foolish people worship them like Gods. India needs more people like Ratan Tata, Abdul Kalam, Verghese Kurien.

Tata is making alround progress
by ASHOK on Mar 08, 2008 07:10 AM

Companies like Tata are an asset to India.

Currently India is surplus on Foreign exchange.
RBI needs such companies who can return INR and take $ ( Tata has done well on this route)

Eventually it helps India in curbing Inflation.
Otherwise all the FE earned by India gets locked in US treasury and Commies are not allowing it to be unlocked as they hate dealing with USA.

On other side Russia has hardly anything to be sold to India and ofcourse Indiain Exports to Russia are very small in Comparison to USA or Mid east.

Sheetal Kaur you have no idea about Global economy and you just start talking about square meal for POOR >> Well that is GOI responsibility not TATA's unless we have US form of Democracy and Ratan Tata is PRESIDENT of India.

For Sheetal Kaur or anyone who talks about 2 square meals:

Common man getting two square meals and Tata buying stakes in Ferari are not mutually exclusive. How can you relate to them ?

Someone rightly said that providing opportunities for people to succeed should be done by Government. We elect our leaders. How is Tata being blamed for their failure ? Tatas employ millions of people. Are the chief ministers of various states going to provide employment ? We already know what happens in government offices. You want to create more of that ?

This is like the grasshopper blaming the ant for working hard and storing supplies for the rainy day. The grasshopper wastes his time while the ant toils. Why should the ant share her food with the grasshopper ? Why should everyone stay hungry instead of some unfortunate who do remain hungry ? Shouldnt we try an approach where those who stay hungry decline over a period of time ? We already tried Nehru's socialistic approach and what happened ? Even Chinese are beating the Americans at their capitalism game. Why are people staying hungry in West Bengal inspite of the communists ?

My idea was not to criticize Mr Tata, But such news are irrelevant to someone like myself that is what matters.
Weather it serves any purpose for you it is up to you to decide.
I have driven a Ferrari once ( belonging to a very good friend of my dad) I am not a great fan of it.
Beside where in India one is is going to drive it.
Good luck to Mr Tata not all of us can achive what he has that is all I can say.
