These businesses are being run in empire fashion. Idiot sons earning intrest upon intrest from their dead father ill gotten fortune. The only person who can save India is Gandhi family. I hope Rahul Gandhi become PM soon and make India a super power and true heaven on earth.

even US has enough corporate sagas. Look what is happening in Yahoo/MSFT deal. Everybody knows Yahoo sucks big time and is losing badly to Google, yet this Jerry Yang a big time failure is stubbornly holding on to Yahoo instead of splitting it and getting on in life.

newsweek shouldnt be so judgemental. Indias corporations that too only a few are only 40 -50 yr old max whereas most western corporations are over 150 yrs old so it will take time for subcontinental company owners to trust outsiders as the companies have only recently started being exposed to the outside world completely.

Perhaps you have not looked around too much. Birlas, Tatas, Mahindras, Piramals, and many many others who are actually the richest Indian families are all fuedal in nature. Except for Reliance there is hardly any less than 80 years old corporate in India.

Jack ?

Who wants to be Jack Welch? I'd prefer to be Dhirubhai anyday. The sonner the Americans stop thinking they know best, the better they'll be able to cope with the ground being pulled from beneath their feet.
