Errors / negligence y Rel. Fresh Counter Boys
by Sunil Kumat on Jul 14, 2008 03:59 PM

Following problems can be encountered :-
1.......When the Boyds scan an item picked by you, he may not find its discounting database in the system, he will keep you and other waiting. than, this item is kept aside (already scanned).
2.......A plastic item which had discount (buy 1 get 1) was scanned (w did not knew that it is under the scheme). Its label did not have this information.
3.......It was a monthly purchase, hence including all the sundry things, we had total 25 items in the Cash Bill.
4........Finally, the first item was left at the counter, as it did not had the discount.

We paid and came home. Now after looking at this article, I just verified the bill and found that, (a) we were billed for the item, which was finally not purchased by us (b) The plastic item was billed under buy1 get1scheme, but we weren't given the second free piece.

Now I feel its not worth going back to the store to resolve as the value of both these items is about Rs. 150.

Be alert at billing counter
by Rupesh Choudhary on Jul 11, 2008 04:17 PM

Three cases I experienced in past one month:
1. Reliance Fresh offered "Buy one get one free on any plastic item: offer till 30th June!". I was billed for two on 29th June itself. On my complain, the superviser re-logged in and the system accepted the offer.
2. Reliance Fresh again, I was charged Rs. 200 for buying 2 packs of juice priced Rs. 100 each with "buy one get one" offer. On my complain next day, the superviser asked me to lift any material worth Rs. 100 free of cost!
3. I was not given the complimentry bottle of shampoo with coconut oil. I never complaied due to small value.

same happens at neighbourhood stores
by tomcat on Jul 11, 2008 03:07 PM

Its not the big retail stores that are in this alone.. I have experienced wrong billing and selling defective stuff at the neighbourhood kirana stores too...

Now, whether this is deliberate or mistaken, is another matter.
