Indian companies may not (yet) have the expertise to manage luxary brands, but they have the guts to do that. The very guts that senior management in these so called international luxary brands lacked, forcing them to chicken out and sell their business.

In my opinion daring to dream, having ambitious aspirations and having the guts to follow it up are more important than expertise gained in a similar field. Especially when that expertise amouted to zero when it came to saving a flagging business!
