no use unitl wisely planned

primarily its effective planning that makes things better. if we have to ease the congestion in traffic we have plan wisely with just simple modifications. Get a excellent traffic management system which synchronizes the entire stretch of signals in the same road so that when the vehicles who gets the green signal in post 1 will get to go through post 3 with easiness. The Bangalore traffic should do away with solar run traffic lights as most the times it doesn%u2019t work and has to managed by cops who do a pathetic job.
2. There should be separate bus lanes or atleast separate deviation at the bus stops so that they don%u2019t block the other vehicles.
3. There should be pedestrian flyovers for crossing as well as for bicycle traffic to cross roads.
4. There should be no signals in ring roads or the express roads. The vehicles which wanted to get in to the ring road should be given a separate road or small fly over to get into the ring road. Usually it%u2019s the vehicles which wanted to get in to the ring road from the opposite direction which blocks traffic.
5. Within the city it%u2019s the vehicles from the smaller lanes that get in to the main road mostly cause congestion so we have to follow a one way traffic for them.
most important we have to instigate discipline in each and every individual by enforcing strict rules and fine. Only fear will get people to be more disciplined.

Its really amazing to find the kind of traffic management being done in the develo

no place to extend roads
by sanju baba on Jan 05, 2008 11:07 PM

I guess the use of technology will not help as there is no space to extend the roads further ..
City busses stop at the middle of the road and it bottlenecks the traffic further.. The govt has no guts to takeover the road side bldgs ... It has and will go the same way , no solution
