It will be gud if Tara rara can tie up with the power and electricty department to start thinking of providing the car\'s fuel to the consumers. NCR with majority of prospects .. running their life on batteries and generators 80 % of teh time!!!
Car is safety vehicle meant for family. Its after sale service, spares part support all is needed. Only reputable company can give. Then power is another important safety point. Any car less than Maruti 800 is not worth a family car for common man. Tata Nano is in news only because of its matching power with maruti 800 & strong company backing. I doubt Indian customer wants four wheel auto rickshaw. Even if it is cheaper

If safety was a criteria for every family in India, nobody would be buying a bike or a scooter. There is always a market in India for everything.
My only concern is the irrepairable damage to the environment this will do.Imagine even if 10% of the population in India own a car, it will be 100 million cars on the road!!

I think this is a statement by these so called environmentalists..... My answer to them is, is nano going to increase the pollution per commute person? I dont think so, as bikes just carry 2 or max 3. this nano going to carry 4 or 5 people. So, all are same....All we need is stingent pollution control mechanism..
it is unfair that you haven't spoken about this when riches were buying car....you started speaking when common man have a option to buy a car....sad...

Well, motorcycles give 60-80kmpl whereas Nano would give only 20kmpl. So, Nano would be 4 times as polluting as motorcycles for the same distance covered for the same number of people.

you sound like a self-proclaimed pseudo-environmentalist who doesn't think twice before polluting the environment himself but is over-critical when it comes to others !

If you have a principle of not buying chinese goods, your only option is to go and live in a remote village without almost none of the modern ammenities.

Chimese Goods sucks. It is mostly third grade. But dont have other option as US is encouraging them to prpoduce more. We need to be more efficient in exporting QUALITY products than cheaper to be popular and compititive.
