I was searching for the promised "LIST" in the title of the article but could not find anything like that. Too generic without much to learn.

Retirement

Retirement from any kind of service is the end of one phase of life. You have a breather, a pause and relaxation for a while. It ends one monotonous life. But definitely it gives a second chance to live and work as per your own choice. One should never stop working till your body permits. Working gives you a kind of routine, change of place, change of working atmosphere, new friends, new challanges and top of everything an income. Many of the retired ones may not get a pension. So to run your and your spouse's life one has to go for ulternate job. At present there are number of opportunities where a retired person can find a suitable job. For me my father dear father is an absolute source of inspiration. He was central Govt. employee. But after retirement he worked for 22 years. There was no any kind of urgency but he used to like work for the sake of fun, to keep himself busy and fit besides earning some extra bucks. May GOD rest him in peace.

Retirement plans 7 Life
by on Feb 06, 2008 01:11 PM

Everybody thinks that retirement will give peace of mind and can relax comfortably with all family members & relatives etc...
but it is not so , actually.
Though we plan to live with what we had earned (money) and with kith & kins at comfort positions in their career, retirees should make up their minds for the retired life .
It is all in the mind finally.
Whatever money we have , whatever our children are , finally one should cultivate slowly or in advance , an attitude towards our last period of life.
One is responsibility in the family. In this one has to delegate family responsiblities to their family/ children so that one can watch the family going on well from outside the circle.
This may take few years ie., 2/3 years if you decide to do so.
Well, saying is always easier than actually done.
But Life is like that !
So, let us enjoy our retired life in a way we want and as per our children's wish .

This article is a waste of time

There is no relation between the Title of the Article and its content. The title is misleading.

Psychological needs at first step?
by Tushar Sakhalkar on Feb 06, 2008 12:28 PM  | Hide replies

I think there is a mix up-
Step 1 - Physiological Needs (not psychological needs)
Step 2 - Safety Needs
Step 3 - Love & Belonging
I WOULD EXPECT BETTER RESEARCH FROM CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER.....
Step 4 & 5 - Self Esteem

I agree with Tushar. I have never read of Psychological need in Maslow's need hierarchy.
Our basic needs of food, clothing, shelter are physiological

Hey this is a very interesting parallel drawn between 'Maslow's hierarchy of needs' and insurance !!!
