UNITY UNDER UMBRELLA
by muralimohan rao on Jan 10, 2009 12:33 PM

Where the Anti Corruption Bureau not only weeds out the corrupt but also honours the non corrupt-thus encouraging the honest

Where the bureaucrats serve not only the greedy but the needy on priority

Where the politicians don’t seek full attention of the security forces for their movement but allow the forces to take care of the country’s safety

Where the Indian tourists don’t limit their pleasure trips only to heavens but share their movements at borders with border security forces

Where the administration doesn’t just wait to react on fatalities but continuously administer towards the continued clearance of the pending files irritating the masses and planning for peace forever

Where the administrators consider all technology based suggestions and implement the same for the benefit of their people

Where all the political parties debate on national issues and come to a common conclusion to implement

Where the film makers show practical issues and real solutions and eliminate violence and sex through their reels

Where the Government clears all the required for the poor and needy in time

Where the politicians in power don’t give room for the opposition to criticize

From such sacred, bold and pious INDIA let all of us dedicate henceforth for the oneness and try honestly for pristine glory

Voice against divisive politicians will always be raised, role of media is also questionable, no doubt our system requires drastic reforms.

by kishor vershi bhanushali on Dec 22, 2008 06:04 PM

Can these awareness or voice against terror / government will last for long time or we will forget all these in few days. Can we live with this fire in our heart? Can we convert this fire into second independence from these Rajasahi, Babusahi, Amaldarsahi, Gundagiri & Aatanki.

We have to decide what we want gulami, helplessness or “AAZADI”
FIRST INDEPENDENCE FAUGHT FOR AAZADI FROM FOREIGN RULER. IS TODAY OUR OWN (DHARTI PUTRA) RULER IS DOING THEIR BEST FOR “AAM AADMI” OR THEY ARE INTERESTED IN THEIR GHAR BHARO mission

NOW THIS IS THE TIME TO FIGHT FOR SECOND INDEPENDENCE

ARE WE READY FOR THE SECOND WAVE OF INDEPENDENCE

PROXY WAR....
by Sunil Dupakuntla on Dec 22, 2008 11:42 AM  | Hide replies

Before we say Enough is Enough, let the govt reinstate the capabilities of RAW what is had before Gujarals government. It was I.K. Gujaral who made RAW impotent. Else India can make PROXY WAR against pakistan. Which cost less money and lives. Creates more violence in Pakistan. Let us teach Pakistan a lesson in its own way.

Also its time to see whether India arcenal is capable or it is like tke the Bullet Proof Jacket that did not work.
Remove corruption where the security of the country and its citizens are concerned and the guilty be punished in the same manner as the terrorist, because they are terrorist alies and are weakening our country.

Yes, Nothing will change.
by Sunil Dupakuntla on Dec 22, 2008 11:39 AM

After the terror attacks
1. Politicians like Anthule started politicising the death of Mr. Karkare.
2. Telivision channels have got good TRP. Now they will change their focus to different issue.
3. Television channels know that it is immoral to show live terrorist attacks on TV. But they are concerned about their business.
4. Some Cabinet ministers and chief ministers have been replaced to give an impression that UPA govt is commited to act on terror.
5. With in few days defence minister Anthony said, India is not keen on war aginast Pakistan.
6. It takes atleast 2-3 years time to implement all the proposals made by the home ministry to prevent terror. If at all they are committed to do it.
7. As the time passes nobody will remember all these things and life comes back to normal.

ALL WE NEED IS COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT, COMMITMENT.

DEAR SANJAY,
VERY WELL SAID.THESE ARE THE HARD FACTS OF LIFE.WHY ARE WE FOOLING OURSELVES ? WE ARE NOT INDIANS.YOU ARE A HINDU.I AM A MUSLIM.MY FRIEND IS A PARSI.SOMEBODY ELSE IS A CHRISTIAN...AND THIS IS THE TRUTH.
DEAR BROTHERS, PLEASE WAKE UP, PUT YOUR RELIGIONS IN THE BACKGROUND FOR SOME TIME AND THINK AS INDIANS. ONLY GATHERING IN MASSES AND SHOUTING WONT HELP.A FEW SUGGESTIONS FROM MY SIDE.

A: ACT AGAINST CORRUPTION - FORM A LARGE GROUP OF SIMILAR MINDED PEOPLE AND ACT AGAINST CORRUPT OFFICIALS.

B: PRESSURISE THE GOVT FOR MAKING GRADUATION FROM RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY AS MINIMUM QUALIFICATION FOR ALL POLITICIANS.
SEND LETTERS/EMAILS TO ELECTION COMMISSIONER IN DELHI. WE HAVE TO CLEAN OUR HOUSE FIRST.

C: DONT LET THE FIRE GO DOWN IN THE HEARTS OF OUR PEOPLE.ORGANISE MEETINGS, RALLIES ETC. PUT PRESSURE ON OUR GOVT TO ACT AGAINST PAKISTAN.

JAI-HIND.

Well Said! Perfect way to summarize.and the bad part is a War will be highly impossible in this time of Global recession. Pressurizing Pakis to hand over all listed terrorist is the possible step and that what took a slow pace now. UN has to act little more responsibly.

Indians are not PATRIOTIC
by Rambabu Shastri on Dec 22, 2008 10:44 AM  | Hide replies

Given the multiple dimensions of Indian Society, caste, creed and religion are topmost on the minds of our nation. Each of these creates an injustice to the group that wishes to be non-partisan and merit-based. Also, Indians are used to talking, but not walking the talk. We think of ourselves as states and then nation, rather than the other way round. Do the following to make Indians take pride in their nationality:
1. National Identity Numbers.
2. Remove caste, creed and religion based reservations and move to economic criteria for reservations.
3. Remove concept of states and have everything governed as administrative blocks.
4. Uniform civil code.
5. Death penalty for corruption. Both to the giver and the recipient.
6. Accountability for budget. Till today, we do not know how much education cess money has gone into the building of schools and what is the result.
7. Compulsory military training for all citizens for 2 years.
8. Increase all legal violation fines by at least 10-100 times. The same bloody Indian does not even have the guts to use a mobile while driving.
9. Everyone in the country pays flat 5% income tax. each tax payer gets guaranteed social security and healthcare.
10. Remove excise for good. It is a burden on value addition. Keep only VAT. This will ensure compliance.
11. No security, salary and perks for politicians. If you want to work for the country, you should not ask or get money for any purpose.

It is sad that in our country we have scavengers in the guise of politicians, and feed on the flesh of people. People like Antulay, Arjun Singh and Digvijay Singh are trying to politicise a sad event, by espousing conspiracy theories where none exist. To add fuel to the fire, we have irresponsible behaviour from our CPI and CPM, for whom Peking and Moscow have been their nation rather than India.

Despite producing many great sons and daughters, I feel sad for this country which is now controlled by rascals and lumpen elements, which icnlude these carrion eating politicians who make use of someone's misery for their personal gains - the country be damned.

I agree with you except point no.11 which actually contradicts. Let them get a good salary but at the same time do their job. I agree with every statement of your otherwise. Only if these happen India will shine. Its a pain that such a big country is keep silent for barks from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Srilanka. Bust their very backs..I would say..

Tough out there!
by shiva on Dec 22, 2008 06:36 AM

We are divided by all permutations & combinations. The bombings are becoming a memory & we are upto our old ways, with chalega attitude. Whether right or wrong, others keep up the pressure - US acted, China meant business & Tibet is in the back-burner. During Olympics, they had such an iron curtain that made the event, a monumental success. Even Indonesia, the largest muslim country - go through rigorous checks & mock terrorist drills regularly. For us, we are too steeped in our ways that we just do not change.

The basic change should come from us - the aam aadmi. We have to demand accountability, security should be a shared responsibilty. But our system is a barrier. There should be a new thinking & for that the young should step forward. But our snipers on the borders are deadly, taking aims from the fringes! That will make us all impotent. Our democrazy is a big tamasha & the politicians know we are all barking dogs & do not matter as most do not vote. So they recycle issues based on caste, religion etc & the path to power is easy.

We are getting clear warnings, but we think they will just go away. We have to bell the cat, but how? Even Ninan cannot say how. We have to tone down a lot - Veerappan had open followers even though he killed many innocents in their line of duty & worst of all, even dyed in the wool terrorists are backed by human rights of all hues.

Ultimately, we all feel impotent. Our words are just a cry in the wilderness again & again!

National Pride
by Mayank Goyal on Dec 22, 2008 05:56 AM  | Hide replies

We talk Enough is Enough , but that is not going to happen , we have got so used to criticising ourselves and yet somehow take ourselves out of the ones being criticised that we will always end up feeling good at the expense of our own countrymen.
Examples -
We say Indains will never improve Questions are we not Indians Ourselves?
Our politicians have criminal nexus ! questions - Have we imported our Politicians from some other country?
Our Media is always reporting Masala ...question - whois watching it and improving TRP for such prgrams.
It is high time we start having national pride and stop criticising our politicians , police and everything but start asking questions and stop being a victim.Because nono of our systems are impoted , nor are the people running it.
It is us ...till we stop paying the bribe , stop encroaching our own roads , stop destrying the public property , start keeping our roads clean , stop driving on the wrong side of the road , start paying our taxes and stop evading it , start paying for our electricity and stop its theft at our own homes ...it is no point blaming the politicians or the police because these are the very things we want...how many time you have heard - come on take the money and give me the driving license , or the common refrain ..just go through a agent pay extra and get your work done ....till we come out of it and criticising ...rather taking action...we are on a road to nowhere

Mayank,

You are bang on target.

We just do not want to participate, but quick to criticise who do. It is tough out there, & getting tougher for us. Nobody owes us a living, it applies to aam aadmi & the country as a whole. Our leaders, older than most grandparents are there by default, as the young are even afraid to tread the waters. Our press wants free for all & at the same time tough action when things go wrong.

It is time we saw reality. We can learn from others. US is openly debating their faults, China is a smart alec, playing hard & soft ball, others have a system to tackle terrorists. For us, it is dog in the manger attitude, stultifying any action & taking pot-shots from the fringes.

We should act, fair enough we have other jobs, so let us allow others to take charge! United we stand,
divided we fall is always true! We all have to wake up as our freedom is only a generation old, though most of us are born free. We can just blow it!!

yeh!! it seems so easy to say this but have you guys tried to follow all these or any one of these. We always want others to follow right thing and somehow don't apply the same to us. How many of us go and vote? I am from IT industry and know for sure that there are hardly 5-10% people who vote, others don't care. I know you guys are also part of the young generation which India is relying on changing its future, belonging to some hip industry(IT, ITES, BPO, Banking and Finance), well educated( Engineer of MBA) who is quite vocal on its rights but forget everything about its duties.

Is the young generation any better than the previous one except for being vocal??? Thanks to the media and technology for that..
